After weeks of Wallkery begrudgingly staying in bed to rest, with several threats of being tied up. Maradith finally started to let her do some walking and light work. In all honesty, Maradith could hardly stop her from doing something.
After a few days, the village elders decided to visit and sent a messenger asking Maradith’s permission. Normally Maradith would have said no and left it at that, but unfortunately, Wallkery was outside.
As the messenger approached Wallkery rose and walked over.
“May I help you?” Wallkery asked the nervous messenger, eyeing him suspiciously.
“I have a mmessage fffor the hhealer Ma..Maradith.” the timid messenger replied. “Give it to me” Wallkery demanded towering over the man.
The messenger tried again, saying “The eelders ssaid ttoo ggive it tto th”
“NOW!” demanded Wallkery. The poor messenger nearly threw the letter in the air as he jumped to follow her command.
Taking the letter, she opened and read.
Dear healer,
We were very happy to receive our men back so wonderfully healed, and are quite happy that the lady in your care has been doing well. We hate to have to bother you, but are fearing that the longer that we wait for Wallkery’s recovery, the further the villains will get from our home. We only ask because we feel that it is urgent and for no other reason.

Marching inside Wallkery walked right into Maradith, who was standing in the doorway.
