Rumfus gets into a ready-ing stance as his gaze is deadlocked with Alnostrasz’s.
Etev lets out a shriek in Alnostrasz’s direction.
Alnostrasz turns its head and breathes fire into Etev’s face before letting out a powerful roar.
Etev flinches back and turns around to walk away, angrily staring backward at Alnostrasz.
The Wizard and the Dragon’s gazes lock once again as they start to circle the mountaintop.
A mist starts to appear around Rumfus’ left hand, which is holding Stormbringer, as several large ice shards form behind Rumfus.
Lightning arcs along the crystal atop Stormbringer.
Rumfus lifts his staff and swings it in a circular motion, the ice shards begin to move and start to mimic the staff’s movements.
Lightning arcs from crystal to the ice shards and then between them as Rumfus swings Stormbringer in an arc towards Alnostrasz.
The Electricity charged ice shards dart through the air at Alnostrasz.
Alnostrasz opens his mouth as fire spews out towards the ice shards.
As Alnostrasz was dealing with the shards, Rumfus takes the opportunity to thrust his staff towards the Dragon and a bolt of lightning strikes Alnostrasz in the jaw.
The Dragon shuts its maw and a shard that had lagged behind follows through and strikes Alnostrasz in the head and shatters against the Dragon’s scales.
Alnostrasz shakes off the collision and opens its eyes and begins to roar, but Rumfus had charged at the Dragon while it was reeling.
As the Dragon’s mouth began to open, Rumfus thrust the rusty sword upwards through Alnostrasz’s jaw and quickly pulled the sword back downwards.
Dark blood covered the sword and part or Rumfus’ arm.
Alnostrasz flapped its wings and lept back, Rumfus braced himself as the wind pushed sliding backward.
Etev, Vetakus and Atekus shrieked and roared, looking as if they were about to join the fight.
Etev leapt down from a perch, fire spewed from Alnostrasz’s mouth as it roared, a thick clear liquid mixed with dark blood leaking from the hole in its jaw.
The smaller Dragon backed up
Alnostrasz looks towards Rumfus for a moment before breathing fire towards him.
Rumfus runs and leaps to the side to avoid the fire, doing a roll when he lands, when he gets to his feet and looks up, Alnostrasz had leapt forward and was swinging the back of his claw at Rumfus.
The Dragon’s claw batted Rumfus across their battlefield.
Rumfus flipped through the air and landed on his feet, sliding quite the distance, towards the path that Rumfus had taken.
Rumfus looks up towards Alnostrasz, who hadn’t moved from where it had hit Rumfus from.
He began hearing the clinking of metal and footsteps as Alnostrasz snarls as it lowers its head close to the ground.
Rumfus looks back to see a large number of Cyclops behind him, armed and ready to assist in the fight.
One of the Cyclopes steps forward.
“Wizard!
We saw the Dragon fall from the sky, some believe you Are the one to get us through this.
We’re here to help!”
Rumfus smirks.
“You’re Gaucrog Greenbelly, the one who doubted me down in Ditchford, aren’t you?”
The Cyclops scowls for a moment before smiling.
“Ha!
Some, Wizard, I said nothing about me believing it!”
Rumfus looks back towards Alnostrasz.
“I appreciate that you all want to help, but please stand down, this is between me and Alnostrasz…”
The Cyclops takes a step forward.
“But-”
Rumfus looks back towards the Cyclops.
“Stand!
Down!”
The Cyclops steps back as Rumfus turns back towards Alnostrasz once more and begins to walk towards the Dragon.
Rumfus stops for a moment and turns around to Gaucrog.
“Hold on to this for me.”
Rumfus tosses his staff towards the Cyclops as the ground begins to shake.
Gaucrog catches Stormbringer before pointing towards Rumfus, mouth agape.
Alnostrasz had grown impatient and charged towards Rumfus attempting to clamp its jaws together on the Wizard.
Before the Dragon had gotten the chance to bite down, Rumfus leapt upwards, spinning and swinging the sword, cutting the Dragon nostril to nostril.
Rumfus then used the Dragon’s head as a springboard and leaps through the air, landing behind Alnostrasz.
Rumfus looks to his side after landing and sees the Dragon’s tail swinging towards him, he jumps over the tail as it scrapes along the ground sending rocks and dirt into the air.
The Wizard looks back and sees the tail on its way back and dodges it as well, this time rolling underneath it as it passes by.
The Dragon catches Rumfus off guard as it swings its head at the Wizard, knocking him onto his back.
Before he had a chance to get up, Alnostrasz lands near Rumfus, pinning him to the ground with one of its claws.
Rumfus attempts to lift the Dragon’s claw.
Alnostrasz looks down at Rumfus, exhaling hot air and blood onto the Wizard’s face.
The Dragon looks up at Etev, which had just let out another shriek, before looking back down at the Wizard to notice there was a mist coming from below its claw that had been pinning Rumfus down.
Before the Dragon has time to react, an ice shard stabs Alnostrasz in the eye, blood splashing out upon impact.
Reacting to the ice shard, Alnostrasz clenches its claw on Rumfus, the claws stabbing into both of Rumfus’ shoulders and one into his torso.
Alnostrasz then throws Rumfus backward skidding and tumbling across the dirt and rocks.
The Dragon roars and slams its chin against the ground before dragging its face along the ground as it stomps around.
Rumfus struggles for a moment getting to his feet.
During his tumble, Rumfus’ hat came free from his head, as well as the sword, free from his hand.
Rumfus walked over and recovered his hat and sword as the Dragon regained a small portion of its composure.
Alnostrasz stayed where he was for a moment, clawing at the rocky surface of the mountain.
The Dragon begins to charge at Rumfus as he conjures more ice shards, when he sends them flying towards the Dragon, Alnostrasz leaps and takes off into the air.
Rumfus looks up as the Dragon passes overhead and as it begins to circle the mountaintop.
The Dragon circles three times before turning back at the mountain.
Rumfus readies himself for the Dragon’s approach.
Alnostrasz descends, still a distance above the mountaintop, it begins to breathe fire downwards as it passes by, which confused Rumfus, for the Dragon had completely missed him.
There was now a long strip of fire burning across the mountaintop separating the Dragons from Rumfus and the Cyclopes.
Alnostrasz descends again, passing by and creating another line of fire, parallel to the other one.
Rumfus had fire on both sides of him.
Gaucrog takes a step forward as Alnostrasz lands in between the fire, which was now blocking the Cyclopes’ view of Rumfus.
All that could be seen was the Dragon with its wings spread over the fire.
Alnostrasz roars before charging across the mountain, the fire on either side of it going out as it passes.
The Dragon continues charging past where Rumfus had been standing and there was no sign of him once the fires go down.
Gaucrog looks from where Rumfus had been back to the Dragon to see the Dragon charge right off the side of the plateau.
Gaucrog runs with Rumfus’ staff over to the edge where the Dragon had presumably taken a tumble, Etev goes as well, both staring down the mountainside where Alnostrasz laid.
There was no sound or movement except for the wind.
