Adriel Llyr

When Adriel woke up in the nurse's office after passing out at swim tryouts, he was NOT expecting to see stunning gold eyes staring back. Very close gold eyes. He sat up. "Were you just-" But before he could finish, the guy ran. Trying to scare me, he finished in his mind. Adriel WAS going to get up, then he decided it wasn't worth the energy and went back to sleep. Let his overbearing, passive-aggressive parents worry. Eventually, somebody came to pick him up. It was his dad, who for some reason decided to make out that it was all Adriel's fault. His father said he did it for attention and nothing really happened. Good thing Adriel didn't have a bad temper. He was still annoyed though.

When he got home, he assured his mother that he was okay (while his dad stood disapprovingly in the background). After she was POSITIVE that he was fine, he went to bed. He didn't even change his clothes, just flopped down and went to sleep.

He dreamt of golden eyes and drowning. He woke up several times, like he was expecting something (or somebody) to be coming for him or to him.

When he walked into class the next day, he didn't expect that all of the sudden, gold eyes would pop up to let the teacher know he was present. He made a strangled sound of surprise. The guy's name was Calyx. Adriel was amused at his own dramatic reaction. He stared at Calyx for the first half of class, laughing inwardly at the disturbed, exasperated look he was trying to hide. Finally, he got bored of the teasing and went to sleep. At the end of class he accidentally made eye contact with Calyx and was pretty much shocked.

He also had last class with him and stared at him again. Calyx decided to play his game and stare him down until he looked away. Adriel huffed and went to sleep.

As it turns out, Adriel made the swim team. He wasn't very happy about it, but at least Calyx was there. He couldn't help checking the guy out. Adriel had an okay body, he wasn't fat or anything, but not a lot of muscle. But damn... Adriel wished he wasn't so lazy so he could work out. And then something weird happened. The guy next to Calyx kissed him and ran. Boyfriend? If he was his boyfriend, he wouldn't have ran away. He could tell Calyx was shocked. He wondered what it would be like to kiss Calyx. He shrugged. Maybe one day. He didn't really care yet.
