“I'll write it down..."
Luke gets up to get some paper and a pen.
He comes back after five minutes or so.
"I can't find anything. I guess I'll have to say it
straight to your face, but do you promise you won't laugh at me?"
"I promise I won't," I say with a big grin on my face. He grabs hold of my cold hand and tells me how feels. Then, after his hand practically dies, I look at him, and he starts to tear up and then looks back down. I don't have a clue on why his hand went limp.
I make him look back up until someone knocks on the front door. It's one of his friends, but I
really couldn't tell which one it was. Luke has always been friendly to everyone since we became best friends (and even before then). Before, I really didn't see him too much around the
school. I heard about him a few times, but that's another story to tell on another day.
Luke doesn’t even get up...
He just hugs me even tighter and stops crying as much as he did before. Then, he wears that
amazing smile of his.
"I really like you, too..."
He whispers ever so quietly. Then, he asks if I'm alright, but then I think to myself He does like me back. Holy crap, he does. He really does. I can and can’t believe this.
"Oi, you alive, mate?" Luke asks through that amazing smile.
"Yeah... Yeah, I'm alive now..."
"You couldn't be anymore cliche. Can you? And yes I like you. I can also agree with the feeling of being alive." Luke states.
I manage to say what I said without blushing. I then start to tickle him. But
Luke turns the tables and tickles me back. We both just lie there looking at each other, but, of course, he has to wink at me. I grab his smallish hand and hold it like I was proud of something,
but all he did was laugh.
His friend decides to come through the back door. Oh crap, it's the one that hates me because I "changed" Luke. Nope, Luke was the one who changed me in many ways. Like how I act towards people, to love, and just too many things to say. Gosh, now, I'm so scared that his friend is gonna go tell people about what he is seeing right now.
"I'll come back later," his friend says as he closes the door behind him.
"Crap" is all I can say right now.
"No, it's alright, mate." As Luke was saying this, he started to smile.
All I can do is hug him to death (not literally). So, I proceed to get up to hug him when Luke
whispers under his breath, "Will you go out with me?"
Now, I'm just staring at him... Is this what I wanted all along?
"Yes, I will go out with you, Luke," I say. I'm about to cry because I never thought this day would ever actually happen.
*********************
So now, we are going out, and I'm really happy about it. I feel like it will work out since everyone
knows that I am gay, but what about him?
For the last week, all I could think about was Luke, and now that I have him, I never think about just myself. I mean, I love my sister, but she thinks that he and I were going out ages ago. So when I told her, she wasn't surprised at all.
I decide to call Luke.
"G'DAY, baby," he says through the phone. I'm just staring at the phone now.
"Hehehe, hello," I start to laugh, so I went with the flow, you know?
"Haha, whatchu call me for, Tobi the Sexy?" As of late, Luke has been calling me Tobi the Sexy.
Then, I replied with,
"Want to come over sometime today?"
"Sure, I'll be there soon, baby." Luke is such a turd, but meh I really like him no matter what.
Twenty minutes later, he finally shows up, and, as soon as I see him, I practically tackle him down to my lounge. He hugs me and smiles. I think of Luke all the time. Sometimes I think about him too much.
"How did you get here? If you walked, you could have asked me to pick you up."
"It's okay and yes, I did walk but I don't live that far away."
After our conversation, he wraps his arms around my neck and practically hangs off my neck, which makes me laugh.
But I remember this one time where we were sitting down watching movies and Luke asked to watch a horror movie. Practically the same thing happened, now that I think about it. Did he do that on purpose to be able to hug me?
I should really start calling Luke a cute little sloth. Sloths are cute when you see them. When is it
not fun to see one?
He nudges my chest softly as I look at him. Luke, or Sloth, points to my sister standing in the doorway. Wait, what is the time?
6:36 p.m. the clock reads. I think if I have to do anything today.
"Crap, we are having dinner with your friends tonight, right?" I say to my sister as I get up with
my little cute sloth hanging off of me, but I didn't mind it at all.
"No, I am, and you are supposed to let me call her so she and her mother can pick me up,"
Elora says that sentence with some sass. She grabs my phone and calls her friend.
"They are on their way here, so don't do anything while I'm gone, please. If I find out that you two did ‘something,’ I will kick your asses," she manages to say without laughing. But, nope, me and Luke, the cutest little sloth ever, are laughing really hard. Wait, she thinks that we would do something like that? That’s just ridiculous! She then walks up the stairs to her room to get ready to go with her friends.
Well, boy, sometimes we do get things wrong.
