“STOP SALLY” I screamed. Chase already saw it and ran after her and it knocked her down to the ground. Chase grabbed it’s head not seeing the other infected grab onto his arm near his hand, biting into his flesh. He screamed sending Riley to his side breaking the one that had bitten Chase and with one snap it was dead. Riley reached for the other one while tripping over Chase’s shoe sending both of them down. Chase snapped its neck and it was gone. I helped them up processing what had happened, looking up at Chase whose arm was bleeding so much, I knew for a fact he wouldn’t survive, Riley seemed fine but his face was pale and he held onto the arm he fell on. Sally was covered in blood but showed no fear, or sadness with her expression. Alex just glared at them with Liz holding his arm.

“You could have avoided all of this" Alex snapped at Chase, Riley and Sally.

“You think she noticed the blood!” Chase coughed with a snap.

“MAYBE IF SHE WE’RE SMART ENOUGH TO LOOK AROUND FIRST" Alex growled pushing Chase down to the ground. When he hit the ground blood poured out fast and he coughed way more.

“DUDE BREAK THE WINDOW AND WE COULD GET OUT OF HERE. LEAVE CHASE ALONE" Sally growled shoving Alex away. Sally crouched down next to Chase with a sad look on her face. She covered the wound and helped Chase up.

“Break the window" she snapped stopping the bleeding. Chase's face was white but he still smiled as Sally touched his arm.

“He's gonna die anyways" Alex said with a snap. Sally shot a glare at him, but said nothing. Alex broke the glass with a crowbar he had brought when he first came and jumped out. Everyone followed, Chase had the hardest time but he jumped. Riley jumped out but fell.

“Riley" I yelped jumping out with Dakota holding my hand. When we hit the ground I ran to Riley. His face was pure white like Chase’s but he looked more sick.

“What's wrong?” I asked In fear noticing the blood around his arm. I pulled up his sleeve to show a bite mark on his shoulder mixed with blood from the thing… That's why the teacher said saliva and blood has the outbreak. Chase has it too but he was bleeding so much in hopes of the outbreak washing out.

“I feel it. I feel it slowly going to my brain.” He cried making me tear up watching him helpless. Dakota grabbed onto him picking him up with a swift putting his arm around his neck. His face showed soft jealousy but he knew he was also a friend dying. I walked beside Dakota trying to figure out what to say but nothing came to mind. Sally looked fine. She kept looking back at Chase but still walked beside Liz.

“So what's the plan?” Dakota huffed as he walked up to Alex.

“Were going to Liz's house, then two more houses before heading out. Alex replied with a bit more calm in his voice. Sally was holding onto Riley but Riley kept denying the help soon coming to my side while Sally went to Chase's.

“Here I'll hold him" Dakota nodded and shifted Chase to Sally's shoulder, Chase seemed to like that better. Sally tied her jacket around Chase’s arm cutting off the circulation. An arm shifted around my waist making my face turn red as I knew who it was. I smiled and it made me melt inside. I wrapped my arm around him so we walked side by side.

As we walked every now and then we saw an infected but Alex would kill it swiftly without having trouble. I knew something was up but I decided to act like I didn't notice. Dakota was tense as he looked around so it made me feel more safe in his arms. What happened to Andy… I hope he's okay… tears dripped from my face realizing Andy might be gone.

“Hey what's wrong" I looked up to his bright eyes with my teary ones.

“I'm a horrible sister" I breathed softly so nobody could hear it. His eyes shifted to worry and fear as he realized we didn't save Andy… Andy to him was like a brother, but with my parents he couldn't talk to Andy as much anymore… I looked down at the ground that had many cracks, the whole place empty, every now and then we saw already dead people. Finally we reached the house, it was the same since I last visited her house but the inside might be different.

“You guys stay out here watch, Liz and I are going inside. Two people per house so we don't attract anything that might be inside.” Alex said heading inside with Liz. Sally sat Chase down and she leaned on his good shoulder which made him smile. The bleeding seemed to stop and his face turned a little normal but you can tell he was in pain. Riley sat down, his face completely white while Dakota and I sat down he layed on my lap.

“So I'm not gonna make it… At least Chase has a chance” He smiled looking at Chase whose face turned to sadness.

“Thank you, for saving me" He breathed softly.

“I couldn't just let you die. Sally needs you anyways" when he said this Sally's body tensed and her eyes widened. Chase nodded with a smile and kissed her forehead.

“Better not die just yet," I snapped at Riley. His hands went up in surrender with a wide smile. We all got quiet again and waited for Liz to return. I really hope Andy's alright.
