*Mason's POV*
"IT'S FRIDAY MY MANS!!" I yell out as I walk up to my gang. No, not the gangs of boys you see hanging around your school. An actual gang. I am the leader of the Wasps. I became the leader of the gang last year, after my father and his “Main 12” as he called them were killed during a drug deal. With over 200 members in the USA alone, I have been able to turn the Wasps into the most feared gang in the USA, and now an up and coming gang worldwide. We do everything from drugs, to kidnapping, to murder, to the black market. You name it we do it.
"Hey, dude, what's up?" My second in command Ashton asks me.
"Not much. I can't wait for the party you having tom-" I'm cut off as a voice echoes in the hall.
"WINTER GRACE HOOD, HALT RIGHT THERE!!!" The chick that Ashton asked to go with him to the party tomorrow goes flying past us.
"Please tell me again why you asked her to go with you?" I question massaging my temples.
"Because Maple's hot and she's friends with the girl you've been eyeing up since 2 years ago aka Winter."
Turning around, I look at the girl in front of me. Her long greyish brunette hair is pulled up into a fishtail braid today. When she turns her head to look at Maple, her eyes shimmer like the first mist over a lake. When I first laid my eyes on her, she was a freshman and I was a sophomore. I knew something was different with her right then and there, and I wanted her. I did everything I could to find out more about her. Now I know everything about her, from her birthday to where she lives to even past boyfriends. Thankfully, she’s had none that I know of.
She must have sensed my staring because she turns her head, her eyes locking onto mine. I turn away from her before she gets too suspicious.
"Ashton, tell Maple that she needs to get Winter to come to your party tomorrow. We're taking what rightfully belongs to us."
"Ok boss." We all turn to watch as our girls fade away.
"What about me, Mason?" Jacob, my third in command, asks.
"We'll get your girl then too dude. Calm your man tits."
Walking into the cafeteria, we grab our food and retreat to our table. I catch sight of my girl in the line. ‘Damn, I can't wait for her to be min-‘ “Hey, Mason, you should try to get her to sit over here with us!” Ashton’s voice rings through my chain of thought.
“Yeah, I should.” Winter walks past our table towards the booth her and Maple share. I let out a wolf whistle. The guys let out snickers while I do this.
“Hey beautiful, how about you come over here and sit with us?”
Winter turns around with her eyes narrowed. She flips me the middle finger, mouthing “fuck you” before she turns around, walking away.
The guys let out ooo’s. “Damn, she told you so didn’t she.” Spencer lets out a chuckle. Murmurs of agreement ring out. Turning around, I face the guys, my eyes darkening.
“The first thing that’s going after I get her is that attitude of hers.” I growl.
I get up from the table and walk over to the booth sitting down next to her, making enough noise to let my presence be known. She jumps, her eyes flying open. Ignoring me, she closes her eyes, continuing to eat her pizza. Finally, she realizes that I’m not going anywhere anytime soon.
“May I help you, idiot?” Venom laces her voice. It takes everything in me to not slap her in front of the whole school. ‘One more slip up and you will be out of here, Mr. Adams.’ The voice of our principal, Mr. Hinder, rings through my head.
“First of all, names Mason, not idiot. Secondly, you're going to regret what you did earlier, princess. And lastly, you're going to be a hell of a lot of fun to break. You will be mine.”
Her eyes turn a darker blue as she narrows them, sitting her pizza down on the plate. “First of all, don't call me princess. Second of all, don't fuck with me.” She proceeds to kick me out of the booth. She finishes her food, giving Maple her tray. She turns on the earbuds hanging around her neck, putting them in her ears. I faintly hear My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up) playing. I turn to walk back to my table giving her the ‘I’m watching you’ sign which she returns by flipping me the finger.
End of the school day
Period 8 just ended a few minutes ago. After Ashton, Jacob and I collect our shit from the lockers, we walk towards the entrance. “I managed to get Maple on board with the idea." Ashton says.
“Good.” Up ahead stands Winter, talking with Maple. I eye up her body now that she’s distracted. The clothes she chose today hug her body just right. Although they are a little too covering for my taste but it’s better to have it that way than having her looking like a damn slut. “Let’s find out if it worked Ashton.” We walk past them, catching the end of the conversation.
“Pretty please, Winter? You never go out and have fun!”
Letting out a sigh, she smiles. “Fine.” We walk out the doors not caring to catch Maple’s reply. All that matters is she will be there at the party and by the end of the night, she’ll be in my arms where she belongs.
“Good job Ashton.”
“Why thank you.”
We lean against the wall, waiting on the others. Finally, they come out through the doors with the girls lagging behind. I watch Winter follow Maple to her car. Maple gets in the car, telling Winter something before she revs the engine and flies out of the parking lot. “Not only did you choose an overly happy girl, but you also chose one that’s a psycho driver too.” I state, raising my eyebrow.
“Hey, Ashton's choice is better than having a girl who acts like she came from the deepest parts of hell.” Matthew, our newest member who’s a freshman, exclaims. “Since she’s alone now, why don’t you try talking to her again?”
I look at Matthew. “Not a bad idea.” I smirk eyeing up my prey. I walk towards Winter with the guys in tow. I grab her shoulder, spinning her around to face me. Once she realizes it's me, she starts looking for an escape route but realizes she’s surrounded. Turning her attention back to me, she glares.
“What do you want, Adams?”
I smirk. “I overheard you and Maple talking on your way out. I heard you're coming to the party at Ashton's this weekend. Just wanted to let you know that I will be there and what I said earlier is true,” I lean down, whispering the last part in her ear. “You will be mine.” I grab her butt, causing her to gasp.
Chuckling, I turn to leave. But before I can go anywhere, I see her hand flying towards my face, swinging it to the side, a loud crack filling the air. ‘That little bitch just slapped me!’ She ducks past me, running down the sidewalk. “FUCK YOU, MASON!” She throws her skateboard down, hopping onto it and glides out of the school gates.
If this were a cartoon, my face would be beet red from anger with steam coming out of my ears. Growling, I think ‘How the hell have I left her get away with shit like this for the past 2 years?’
“I don’t know. That actually is a good question. How have you left that happen?” Whipping my head around, I glare at Ashton whose leaning against the hood of my Rav4. He gives me an innocent look. “What, you asked. I was just answering.”
“Meet up at my house in 15 minutes guys. I'm going to need you main guys for this. Also, be dressed for the weather. We’re taking the quads.”
With that, I turn on my heel and chase Ashton off of my hood. “Get in or I’m leaving you behind.” Getting into the driver seat, I throw the keys into the ignition. Ashton and Jacob pile into the car. Revving the engine, I put the car in reverse, backing out.
“So, what are you planning Mason?” Jacob questions.
Looking briefly in the rearview mirror, I peel out of the parking lot, burning rubber.
“I’ll discuss the plan with everyone.” With that, everyone goes silent.
At the gang house
I look around the barn. My gang is standing around, waiting for instructions. “Ok listen up!” My voice booms through the barn. All 16 sets of eyes lock on me.
“Carter, I want you and Josh to hack into Winter’s phone to keep track of her location and monitor what she’s doing. As soon as you get her location, call me.” Carter and Josh nod their heads before running out of the barn.
“Ashton, Jacob, Cameron, Adam and Evan, you guys are with me. Get the quads ready. If Winter’s going to act the way she is, then let’s show her how quickly things could turn on her.”
Turning to the rest of the guys, I continue. “The rest of you get things ready for tomorrow including the guns. We’re going to crash the party and take what should have been ours.” A smirk appears on my face as I get on my quad. Revving the engine, I peel out of the barn with the guys on my tail.
My phone vibrates in my pants pocket. I bring the quad to a stop, cutting the engine. Hitting the Bluetooth earpiece on my helmet, I answer. “She’s at Morewood Stables. From what I hear, she’s going to be going out for a ride. There’s a field up ahead that has a trail connecting it to the stables.” Carter says.
“Ok, your point?”
“She’s heading for the field, according to Josh.”
“Good. Thanks for the info.” Hanging up, I turn to the guys. “When I give the signal, hit the gas and follow me. Come close to her but don’t hit her or touch her. Got it?” All five heads nod. The roars of engines fill the woods around as everyone turns their quads back on.
I wait about two minutes before giving the hand signal. Hitting the gas, dirt shoots out from under my tires. Trees fly past as the clearing comes into view. I spot Winter on her horse, Storm Runner, flying across the field. I motion for the guys to split so there's three of us on each side. Not giving her a chance to react, we fly past her before disappearing into the woods again. Her facial expression was priceless. She definitely wasn’t expecting it. Although, she ended up covering her ears with her hands. Wonder why she did that? Guess I’ll have to do some more digging later.
The guys and I just finished reviewing the plan for tomorrow. Plan A is me trying to sweet talk Winter into hanging out with me giving me the chance to drug her drink. My excuse for why she’s passed out will be that she had too much alcohol. So I will take Winter “home” to recover. Ashton will be doing the same thing with Maple as well as Jacob with his girl. If things go south, we have a Plan B. Cause mass chaos by firing guns. Everyone will be panicking and no one will notice us taking the girls.
Leaving the meeting room, I pull out my phone, deciding to text my girl. Walking into my room, I type, ‘I’m always watching you’. I hit send. Smirking, I sit the phone down on my bed. Pulling my shirt over my head, I throw it into the laundry basket.
Ding
Turning around, I pick up my phone. Opening it, I read the message that lights up my screen.
‘Leave me alone, creep’ ~Winter
Growling, I reply. ‘Watch what you say, princess. Your attitude is going to get you into big trouble.’ I hit send, but get a “can not send” notification instead. ‘She blocked my number. Smart girl.’ Setting a reminder to look up Winter’s medical history tomorrow, I change into a pair of sweatpants and a PJ shirt, I put my phone on charge before turning off the lights and getting into bed. The thought of Winter being beside me soon lulls me into a peaceful sleep.
