When I was 4 my mom and dad got in a huge fight.

They kept throwing things at each other. My mom threw a plastic piggy bank at my dad. Then, he picked it up and threw it back at her. I went behind her and picked it up and ran up to my room and hid it. Then I went back downstairs to find my dad about to walk out the door with a trash bag full of clothes. I said “daddy where are you going.” He then said “ I am going to the store. I will be back later bye, love you princess.” I said “ ok love you daddy see you soon.’ Little did I know he wasn't coming back. I sat outside the front door and watched him walk away. That night I asked my mom “Mommy, when is daddy coming home.” She said “ Sweetheart daddy’s not coming back.” I started crying and hugged her tightly. Next, I said “ Mommy………. I wish he didn’t have to go.” She then said “ I know sweetheart I wish he didn’t have to go too”. A few years later my mom and my dad started talking about me and where I will live but he knows I can't legally live with him. I was watching youtube on my moms phone one day and he texted her. I went up to my mom (I was 10) And said “ Hey mom someone texted you and she said who it was. (she was doing the dishes) I said “ Ri-Rickery, I don’t know how to pronounce it.” She said “what did he say” Then I said “ He said………. “Hey, how's Jeanne? Can I call and talk to her? “ Who is this? How does he know me? “ Then my mom sighed and said “ That’s your dad he………” Then her words started to fade out like I couldn't hear her anymore. My eyes started to water then I asked (interrupting her) “ Can i call him pla i haven’t heard from him since I was 4 and I really want to talk to my dad. “ She then said “ Yeah but you HAVE to sit right there (pointing to the island in the kitchen) “ I said excitedly “ YAAAAAAY I CAN TALK TO MY DADDY. “ I called him and he started crying when he saw my face. We were on call for an hour talking and then mom said it was time for bed then said ok and told him I would call him in the morning before I went to school. I still talk to my dad today and I love him so much. I promised him I would call him everyday till I was able to come and visit him when I get my drivers license. I will live till I make that promise come true.
