Entering the building, Kinoto saw that it was like any other court in his world. The only thing different was the pyramid-shaped frame of the building. The seats in the court for spectators were lifted up from the ground using some sort of magic. Many people were watching but Kinoto really didn’t care at that point.
Looking forward as he got escorted to the middle, there sat the village chief in the judge’s seat. Below him were the 5 Civicals. The 5 Civicals were all bandaged up. One with a broken leg and one with a broken arm.
“I guess the battle between Tora and the 5 Civicals was pretty intense,” Kinoto thought as he got to the middle of the courtroom.
“Attention! I hereby start the trial of Tora Haruto’s crimes against the village of Alrith!” The chief announced. As the courtroom silences, the chief starts.
{If I’m honest, I have no idea how a courtroom works so I‘m just gonna improvise since this is a made up world)
“Tora Haruta has committed treason against the village. Not only has he harmed our Civivals but he has also destroyed village property and harmed the lives of others. He is here today for us to decide his fate.” The Chief then looks down at me from the court podium.
“The 5 Civicals have decided to keep Tora alive. In return, the 5 Civicals have to speak their motives to the public and defend why Tora should be kept here at Alrith.” The Chief then looks down at the Civicals, directing the court’s attention to them.
One of the civicals, a beautiful blonde-haired, blue dressed man, steps up. “I, Nikokawa of qqua, want to speak,” The blonde says. The chief nods as Nikokawa looks up for permission. “I believe that Tora, the Civic of darkness, has pure intentions.” Nikokawa starts. The courtroom starts to sturr up as countless whispers fill the room. “The reason I say this is because I have overheard what I presume to be blackmail. Nikowawa continues. “Before the rebellion happened, I overheard a conversation between the Civic of darkness and the Civic of death.” Nikokawa has got the attention of every living thing in the court now.
A fiery red-haired man interrupts Nikokawa. “I, Enjo of flame, object to this reasoning.” The man says. The courtroom stirs up again, but one glance from Enjo and it silences.
“This dude gives me the chills…” Kinoto silently thought.
“Although I may object,” Enjo glances at me, “I believe Tora had pure intentions from the start but got misdirected by anger and greed.” Enjo states nonchalantly.
Kinoto stares at the Civicals. He always wondered what they were talking about.
“Please… Help me understand what’s going on…” Kinoto silently wished as all the Civicals took turns stating their theories on Tora’s motives. Suddenly, in a flash, Tora’s memories flood into Kinoto’s mind.
“I...I know Tora's motives...I know how to make the story have a happy ending!” Kinoto thought.
Shifting his stance, Kinoto cleared his throat. “I, Tora of darkness, and the accused, would like to speak.” Kinoto says. Silence ensues after Kinoto says that.
To be continued
