Langstay has many of its own creatures and races, but there are many more creatures that reside across the distant oceans that surround Langstay.
One of these creatures is the Dragons.
There were never more than fifteen Dragons alive at one time for the Dragons were constantly moving to new locations and it takes several months for a newly laid egg to hatch, and several more months for a Dragon to grow enough to be able to take flight.
Alnostrasz had become the leader of the Dragons due to his size and strength, second to Alnostrasz was a sibling named Etev.
Not every Dragon is born with the ability to breathe fire, but all are born able to speak, although some choose not to.
Dragons do not need to move their mouths to speak.
After the fading of the sun, Alnostrasz and the other Dragons took flight in search of a land with any source of light, leaving behind three eggs.
The Dragons flew for several days, they had found a few places where they saw light and decided to investigate.
The first was a walled-off village inhabited by some odd goat-like creatures.
Alnostrasz, Etev and the other Dragons landed some distance away from the village, they discussed what they should do.
Etev wanted to attack the creatures and take the village for themselves.
Alnostrasz saw this as only a temporary fix, instead, deciding to try to communicate with the goat creatures, hopefully finding a way to come to an agreement and live together.
Only a few Dragons went to attempt to speak with the goat creatures, including Alnostrasz, Etev and Othrax, as the others waited nearby.
The village looked to inhabit around fifty of these creatures, enough dwellings to accommodate, a few larger buildings that their purpose was unclear and a large tower in the middle, the top could not be seen in the darkness.
Alnostrasz and the other two walked from the darkness into the light of the torches outside of one of the village's large gates.
Odd cries and horns were blown the moment the Dragons were visible, but the creatures seemed defensive and didn't attack.
Alnostrasz took a step in front of Etev and Othrax and began to speak to the goat creatures.
The Dragon exclaimed that they weren't hostile and that they were looking to live in peace with the creatures.
More of the odd cries were heard on the other side of the wall.
Othrax shared his concern that the creatures more than likely did not share the same language, if any language at all, and that they should leave.
Alnostrasz looks back at Othrax to reply, but before he does, a large rock-tipped spear plunges through Othrax's neck, killing the Dragon instantly.
Without hesitation, Etev turns and knocks down the wall and begins torching the village.
Alnostrasz realizes that the tower is where the spear came from and commands one of the other Dragons to take out the tower down.
Two Dragons fly towards the tower as another spear is shot towards them and manages to hit one of the Dragons, knocking it out of the air.
The second Dragon gets to the tower and flies into it, knocking it over.
As the spear launcher was the only weapon that was effective against the Dragons, the rest of the camp was fairly easy for the Dragons to destroy.
Several goat creatures made it outside the gates and ran from the Dragons.
The fire from the village burned almost blindingly bright as the Dragons' eyes had adjusted to the darkness.
As the fire began to die down, Alnostrasz walked through the ruined village and contemplated their next step.
When the fires went out, the Dragons took flight again.
Two more villages were found and the Dragons were met with hostility by both.
After a few months, there were now only five Dragons left, Alnostrasz, Etev, Issav, Vetakus and Atekus.
This is when Alnostrasz decided that if the Dragons were to continue living, peace was no longer an option.
They continued to fly the dark skies until they had seen a faint light across a large body of water.
There was no other choice other than to check this light out, but Alnostrasz wasn't going to make the mistake of being peaceful again.
As they flew and got closer, the light's source seemed to be a lot larger than some torches, but as the Dragons drew closer the light had begun to fade and eventually disappear.
The Dragons had made it to land, but there was no longer light.
They were angered by this and thought that it might have just been a delusion.
The flight had left the Dragons tired, so Alnostrasz decided that they should rest on the shore and decide where to go once they've regained some energy.
When Alnostrasz awoke, the Dragon's eyes were met with light, as if it were that the sun had returned.
The others woke as well and excitedly asked Alnostrasz what their next move was.
Alnostrasz looked up at the mountains that had blocked their view of the rest of the land in the darkness.
Alnostrasz then informed the other Dragons that they had found their new home.
