Sage moved towards the pony, only for it to spook and dart away. She couldn’t shake the feeling that the pony had been deliberately watching her. She entered the house and ran to her room to change clothes.

Once she was ready, Sage joined her mother in the car as they heading into town. 

“Mom, do you know if the last people to own the farm had a pony?” Sage asked.
