Suddenly a flash of light envelopes the stage and the Angel appears, he has a serious expression on his face. All three Domains are here now. This is just what I wanted to avoid. His look of composure and confidence quickly turns to anger. I can tell he hates being brought down here.“Sophie, Mason. We have been over this."
He puts his hand over his face in frustration. “No Family reunions in Middle Earth. Do you see all these Witnesses?” I rolled my eyes and the twisted smile I had been wearing shrunk a little. “ Well Gabe, Mason came by here yelling about the planets aligning. I was only protecting what was mine.”
Gabe’s angered expression twists into a deep frown, “You disappeared for 120 years and you finally appear because of Mason? Why didn’t you Kill him then, why bring me into it? You could have disappeared again easily. I would have never known that it was you that killed him.” He knows the reason that I called him that he can’t even hide his enjoyment of me having to admit it. “I can't kill him knowing that it was a mistake that he won't make again. If I killed him without a replacement in mind, then you would just hunt me down. I may have disappeared but I refuse to break the Laws of the Universe.” To tell the truth he is the best devil we have had in over 3000 years, he has kept Hell very well organized. Gabe sighs, “It might be best to keep Mason around until a good replacement could be found?” I thought about that for a minute and shook my head, “ I think that is a great idea. Mason, choose a good replacement and give them a trial run, then come back and face your punishment.” Mason looked terrified but then gave me a calculated look, “I can choose anyone I deem a good replacement right?”
Gabe looked slightly concerned but couldn't figure out what he could possibly be planning, “ Yes, you can choose any replacement, we hope you choose a good one otherwise this process will just start over again anyway.” Grinning ear to ear, Mason turned to the crowd and pointed right at my best friend, “I choose her.” She looked absolutely terrified.
I looked at Mason, “You don't even know her name, you can't possibly think she would be a good Queen of Hell.” Mason looked smugly, “Well if you don't want her to be my replacement, then I guess I will just keep being King of Hell?” I smirked, “Or I could just kill you now and pick your replacement for you, what do you think Gabe?”
He looked at me pissed, “I think it was stupid of you to include me in this argument, you know how much I hate Middle Earth and Humanity, why would I care what happens to it?” I frowned, “I was hoping by now that you would learn to love Humanity like I did.” He stared at me, “ I was not made to love Humanity like you were Sophie. To me, they are just useless until they enter my domain. If you do not like who he chose, then let him keep being King and not speak to him until the planets align correctly.” I didn’t like this idea, “I just have one question.” I turned to Mason, “How will you handle the situation you are currently in? After all there are at least 100 humans staring at us.”
Mason looked out across the crowd almost as if he had forgotten all about them. “I suppose you will be outraged if I say to Kill them?” I look out and my eyes land on Vanessa, “There is a small group here that I favor, how about I take them and you clean up this mess?” Mason slowly nods his head and pulls out his phone to call his second in command.
