I woke up feeling tears roll down my face and seeing Tess sleeping in a recliner in front of the bed I just awoken in. I moved to try to stand up but end up falling as I try to walk. The fall must have awoken Tess because she was right by my side as I tried to get up. She looked like she’d been crying for five days.

“ Tess how long have I been asleep?” I ask her as we finally get me back on the bed.

“ Two days.” She says crying pulling me into a hug.

“ Really? What happened after I fell out of the tree?” I ask her.

“ You were bleeding and Jane took Jeff to go get Slender.” She says letting go of me.

“ Was there anything coming out of my back and who the neon peppers is Jeff?” I ask her as she wipes her tears away.

“ Jeff is the guy that freaked you out and no there was nothing coming out of your back, why?” Tess asks with a confused look.

“ Nevermind. So where are we?” I ask her brushing the other question away for Slender to answer. I tried to get up again, I stumble a little.

“ Here let me help you.” Tess says putting one of my arms around her neck.

“ You know what I’mma just stay right here in this room so I don’t have to trouble you.” I say lifting my arm back over her head and sit back down on the bed just realizing I’m in different clothes. A tan t-shirt with a white jacket and blue jeans. And bandages covering my forehead and ears.

“ I have one question for you, Tess.” I say to her.

“ Yeah, what is it?” She says going back to sit in the recliner.

“ Who changed my clothes?!” I ask laying on my back.

“ Lulu, Lazari, and Sally.” She answers.

“ Who are they?” I ask sitting back up looking at her

“ More friends of Jane’s.” Tess says grabbing a cup beside her. “ You’ll meet them later.”

“ I hear a bee buzzing. Who just said my name?” A voice says from the other side of the door. Jane opens the door and walks in.

“ Hey Jane.” I say pulling the sheets over my head.

“ Hey Sai. How are you feeling?” She says sitting on the bed pulling the sheets off my head.

“ I don’t know. Something weird happened while I was asleep and I think I need to talk to Slender about it.” I say feeling tears roll down my face again as the memory repeats on an endless loop in my head.

“ It should be safe for you guys to come out now because everyone asleep except Slender, so now would be a good time to talk to him.” Jane says.

“ There a problem. Sai can barely walk.” Tess says coming over to us.

“ So we’ll just carry her there.” Jane says getting up to stand beside Tess.

“ Jane you grab her left arm and I’ll get the right.” Tess says reaching for my right arm while Jane is reaching for my left arm.

“ I guess I have no say in this, do I?” I ask as they haul my off the bed.

“ Nope, you are going to talk to Slender right now.” Jane says as the take me to the door.

“ And why is that?” I ask as they open the door.

“ Because whatever it is it’s making you cry and so now I know how important it is.” Tess says following Jane.

“ Do you guys need some help?” A voice says from behind us that scared Jane and Tess so bad they dropped me.

“Ow. Why...Why me?” I say trying to get up but fail miserably.

“ Here let me help.” The voice says. I look up to see a girl with short light blue hair. She had on a purple beret and purple collared shirt with a tie. It kinda looked like a dress. Her eyes were black with glowing blue pupils. She had three holes in each cheek and everytime she opened her mouth light blue light came out of her mouth. Her cheeks hole had light blue light come out of them as well.

“ Sorry about that, you must be the girl the Slender was talking about. I’m Ani, Ani the wight and you are.” She says as she helps me up and hands me back over to Tess and Jane. When Jane and Tess finish getting my arms around there neck I looked at Ani.

“ I’m Sai.” I reply. She looks at me with a funny face.

“ What’s your real name Sai.” She asks. I just stand there.

“ Fine, My real name is Siren. Sai’s my nickname.” I tell her and she looked happy.

“ I knew it, you look exactly like her.” She says happily.

“ Exactly like who?” I ask with a confused look on my face. While Tess yelled ‘ I didn’t know your real name was Siren.’

“ Do you know anyone by the name Lyra?” She says taking a picture out of her pocket and handing me it. I lift my right arm over Tess’s head to grab it. The picture had the same woman from my memory. I looked over the picture to see a person similar to Ani but had no holes in her cheeks and didn’t look supernatural at all.

“ Yeah I think I do that’s what I’m going to talk to Slender about, if you wanna come with us it’s fine.” I say. She looked happy for some reason.

“ Then let’s go I need to make sure of something.” She says opening a door for us and we go through. We went through about five different doors till we stop in front of two double doors. Ani knocks on the door only to be opened by Slender himself.

“ Oh girls I wasn’t expecting you.” He says holding the door open for us to walk in. “ Sai it’s nice to see that you've awoken.”

“ I’m sorry to bother you, I just need to ask you a question. “ I say as Jane and Tess sit me in a seat.

“ Sure, what do you need to talk about?” He asks sitting in a chair in front of a desk.

“ When I was asleep I had a flashback. It was of a woman and a child. The child had rainbow polka dotted tentacles coming out of her back with bells attached to them. Ani has a picture of the same woman. If she’d like to show you.” I say looking to Ani. She nods and takes him the picture. She hands it to him as if it’s a delicate child.

“ Ani, who is this woman to you?” Slender asks her as he looks up with hope in his voice.

“ That woman is my sister. She was adopted into our house when I was two. Why do you ask?” Ani says standing in front of him.

“ That woman was the wife of my brother, Splendor. He loved her so much. He even looked her after he found out what she was. A half-breed. Half siren Half human. We all trusted her but after Lyra was pregnant Offender got jealous that she was with Splendor and not him so he started threatening her. Saying that if she did not kill the child and be with him. He would kill Splendor. I read it in a letter she wrote. She said if anything happened to her to look for her child and bring it to Splendor. I’m guessing since Lyra was cursed with gold eyes so would the child.” Slender says in a sad tone. I just sit there in shock not noticing the tears streaming down my face. Slender must have noticed it because he walked over to me and hugged me.

“ So I was right.” I say aloud.

“ What do you mean you were right.” Slender says pulling away from the hug looking at me. I just stare at him for a few seconds longer before moving my right hand to my sunglasses and taking them off.

“ She was my mother which would make you my uncle wouldn’t it?” I say wiping the tears from my eyes. Slender pulls me in for another hug and doesn’t let go until I can’t breath.

“ I can’t believe I finally found you. You don’t know how long I’ve been searching for you.” Slender says standing in front of me. Jane, Tess, and Ani all came up to hug me.

“ That would make you my aunt wouldn’t it, Ani.” I say hugging her back.

“ I guess it would.” She says moving a strand of hair out of my face. The moment was ruined by someone’s phone going off we look around to see Tess pull her phone out of her pocket. She let off a small smile before answering it.

“ Hello.” She says only to be answered by a girl on the other end. “ No this is not Mike’s sister. I’m Mike’s girlfriend.”
