“Why? Why to this extent? Why are you so obsessed with me that you have to kidnap me?”
It’s Kai. Of course it is. I should have guessed. If it isn’t Dylan, it’s Kai.
“I love you, Blythe. More than I realised. When you started going out with Peter, it made me see how much I needed you.”
“Why can’t you leave me alone, Kai? I don’t like you! The only feelings I have for you are hatred! This is too far!”
“But...I love you.”
“No! No, you don’t! You’re obsessed with me, OK. This isn’t love, Kai. You don’t kidnap someone you love.” I realise that my hands have been bound with rope, though my feet have been left free.
“You don’t tie someone you love up so that they can’t go anywhere. Why don’t you get it? I want nothing to do with you.”
I see his face darken, and it’s clear that he is trying to hold back his anger. I know that I can break out of the ropes, blast him or even scream at him. But Kai’s not worth it.
“Why can’t you just give me a chance?” He asks, and he’s hiding his anger well.
“Because I keep telling you no. Even when I was with Charlie, I told you I had no interest in being with you. And now that I’m with Peter, I want to be with you even less. I don’t even want to be your friend. You lost that opportunity.”
Kai’s anger catches hold of him and he leaps forward, grabbing me by the neck. I breathe slightly heavily in what sounds like a laugh.
“You realise I can literally burst your fucking eardums right now?”
He looks angry, and I feel like he’s tempted to slap me. He’s interrupted by the driver saying that we’ve arrived, and he lets me go. A smug look crosses my face, although I don’t know where we are.
The door next to me opens and I scramble back, accidentally leaning into Kai. Dylan has opened the door. God, I knew he was part of this in some way.
“Hello there, little fighter,” He drawls, and his voice has the tone of pure creep. “Nice to see you again. Now. Do you want to do this the easy way...or the hard way?”
He grabs my left leg and begins to pull me towards him, but I land a strong kick to his face with my right leg.
“Don’t fucking touch me!” I yell, and I think I’m hiding my fear.
“It’s gonna be the hard way then.” He motions to Kai as he rubs the blood trickling from his nose away. I’m suddenly pinned down by Kai, long enough for Dylan to pick me up and sling me over his shoulder.
I fight but eventually give up, figuring there’s no reason if I can’t win. Dylan seems to take this as an opportunity to smack my butt. My legs are long enough to grant him a swift kick to the dick. He flinched but carries on like it didn’t happen.
They carry me to a dark room. It’s softly lit, and I can make an old man. Dylan sets me down and forces me into a chair, tying me to it.
“Well, well, well. If it isn’t little Miss Stark,” The old man says.
“Rogers. And who the fuck are you?”
“Well, Miss Rogers, I am Mr Warner. And I am wanting to make your dad pay.”
“Which one? I have two.”
Mr Warner smiles thinly. “How about you use the context clues?”
“Well...from Dad, I assume you mean Rogers. But by Stark, I assume you mean Papa. So, which one is it?”
He sighs. “Both, really. But Tony Stark, mostly.”
“What do you have against him?”
“Oh, that’s not important. It’s a matter between me and him. Don’t you worry your pretty little head about that.”
“Then why did you kidnap me?”
“Eh, that wasn’t my doing. My two sons were fighting over you so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity. Now, I must take my leave. Dylan, Kai. Come.”
With that, they leave and close the door behind them. Leaving me alone.
