I tossed and turned even if the bed was more then comfortable, I could hear the creak of the bedframe as I moved, I could hear the water hitting the cliffs, I could hear what sounded like rain.
I sat up looking out to the balcony door, as a flash of light exploded from outside illuminating our room for a second but disappearing into the darkness.
I couldn't escape the horrible feeling in my stomach or this fear that consumed my body.
I got out of bed looking back to see in the flash of light Dan fash asleep, I walked away from the bed across the cold and hard floors. Carefully and slowly stepping through the room until I reached the doors seeing the heavy rain and the lighting flash across the sky.
I opened the doors feeling the sting of the ice-cold wind and rain hitting my skin, the noise of the sea crashing into the cliffs under the hotel, the cracking of the sky as thunder and lightning ravaged the dark clouds, I stepped out to the Balcony feeling the water on my feet till my hands got hold of the metal pole looking out to the darkness
'110'
It flashed in my mind, it flooded my brain like water, shocked me like lightning.
I felt my feet climbing onto the first level of the metalwork on the balcony having to keep my balance as the wind and rain battered my body, climbing higher till my foot was over the railing of the balcony my other foot followed lifting my frail body over the metal, holding tightly so the wind wouldn't knock me off standing on the ledge of the balcony holding onto the metal tightly the ocean crashing into the cliffs below me, the rain hitting my skin like a million tiny needles. The wind almost blowing my body off my perch, the harsh wind battering my nightie
"LISA!" A voice screamed it made me jump and I lost my grip Screaming as I felt my body fall I grabbed onto something grabbing holding onto the bottom of the balcony but my hands were wet and not strong enough to hold myself as the wind and rain tried to knock my body off from my dangling below the balcony "LISA!" Dan yelled as he leant over the Balcony "Lisa! are you crazy!" He screamed "I can't reach you! You have to grab my hand, Lisa!" The wind Blew a huge gust Almost taking me off my grip I tried to reach but my hand simply slipped out his grip "LISA! LISA PLEASE!" I can't pull you up unless to try!" I Looked down to the sea "NO! Lisa Please... For me? I'm beggin' you" He pleads I used as much of my effort as I could to grab his hand and he pulled me uplifting me over the balcony and holding me tightly in his arms I saw the fear in his face melt away as he threw my body so I landed on the rug he slammed the balcony door closed cutting off the wind and rain "Lisa..." He began "What the fuck was that!" He yelled
"I was looking and I slipped" I lied
"You FUCKIN' LIAR!" he yelled "Lisa Tell me the truth"
"I was just looking okay"
"Lisa... I watched you get out of bed, go out to the balcony, climb off and try to jump off!" He complained "Lisa, I love you and its horrifyin' to watch you do that while I'm laid in bed, and to see you even have to stop and think about taking my hand"
"I'm sorry"
"Sorry!" he yelled, "I think I need a little more than sorry Lisa for havin' to watch my wife try and jump off a fuckin' balcony" I didn't answer "Answer me!"
"It was raining, I wanted to look, I couldn't sleep, and this voice these numbers kept going around in my-" I began as I cried my words messing up between sobs
"SHUT UP LISA!" He screamed "all this shit I can't take it anymore, I've had enough of it!" making me jump "I'm sorry hun... I didn't mean it" he said after a while He locked the balcony and put a chair from the dining table infront of it "I've locked the door, I'm goin' to bed... You climb out there again, I'm not pullin' you back in" He warns turning the light off and going back to bed.
