PART 3: The End is the Beginning
A few centuries have now passed, and magic has become forgotten. Only a few wizards and sorceress still lingered in a land without magic, but they stay hidden within the shadows. The land they all once knew is now called Saphine City. The forests that once cover this great land was filled with skyscrapers, assorted shops, horse drawn wagons were a thing of the past, now automobiles drove around the streets. But an ominous presence still lingered in the air. This is where our story presumes. In an old antique shop, run by a young man lies three old magical items in his storage room. One day one of the three items start glowing. The young manager of the shop gasps and runs towards the main room of his shop to where his old grandfather is dusting some old bookcases.
“Grandfather,” cried the young man “one of them is glowing!”
“Oh, oh, oh, one of them has been reborn.” Said the grandfather with a smile.
Four years after the first of the magical item glows, the second one emits a glow. Both the old grandfather and his grandson smile. Lastly another four years go by as the third and final magical item glows, but this time all three items glow in unison. The two men smiled very happily, for the good new this glow bestowed.
“Listen to me grandson, I will be long gone in a few months. It’s up to you to reunite these items with their rightful owners, find them and teach them what I have taught you.”
“I will grandfather.”
“Know that I will always be with you.”
“Thank you, grandfather.”
Months passed and the young man’s grandfather passed on. When the young man arrived at his empty home, he looked at the portraits of the man he knew has both his father and grandfather, he lightly traced his face with his fingertips, remembering an old saying his grandfather would say repeatedly. Taking the portrait in his hands, he made his way down to the antique shop and entered the storage room where the three magical items stood. He looked at the items, thinking of his new task he now must complete.
“My grandfather would always say ‘the end is the beginning’ it took me a while to get it, but now I know what it means. I vowed now to you three, that I will find your masters and reunite them.”
