A few days later and the house itself began to.. Glitch. As an example, imagine walking down the hallway of your home, knowing it leads to maybe.. The bathroom. But instead of spitting you out in the bathroom, you end up in the kitchen. You've lived in that house for years, so you know for a fact that hallway leads to the bathroom. Things like that would occur.

Or maybe, hallways would get longer or shorter, staircases seeming to have no end but then you blink and it's normal again.

It seemed as though the world itself was tearing at the edges. Days would suddenly turn to night at 9 am, then back to day, and we hadn't seen the man in the woods in a while. I was starting to get worried. Something was definitely wrong here. Yet somehow, deep inside of me, I knew he wasn't dead. Not yet. Maybe he was, though, as he was very old and frail.

I started to have nightmares recently, too, very odd ones that seemed so real. Marie and I would be in the very house I stood in, younger, approximately 8-9 years younger than we are now. So, me being the youngest, in the nightmares I would be 7 years of age. Marie would be 10.

Or so I assumed, Marie claims she's been keeping count of the years but I don’t think she has. Anyway, Marie would be running down the hall, but the hall would be growing and growing and growing.. Not ever stopping.

It didn't help that the halls are actually doing that now to an extent. Growing and shrinking and, somehow, inverting. As a result I spend much of my time outdoors.
