I didn't mean to take this long before the next update, but I guess that happened... I kept on forgetting that this existed and when I remembered it wasn't a convenient time to write. For this chapter, I'll talk about some of the stuff that has happened between the beginning of the year until now.
So a bunch of my friends say stuff about me going to a "fancy private school", but the thing is, Dwayne Scott (my school) barely makes enough money to keep itself running.
The thermostats are almost always several degrees lower than the legally required temperature for a school. They can't afford to heat the building to the legal temperature, but this year the heat is actually better than in the past. We just got a new head of school and he's used to much higher temperatures so there has been better heating this year (at least according to my classmates. I wasn't at Dwayne Scott last year).
Whenever it rains we have to put around three or four big trash cans in one of the third-floor hallways to keep it from flooding. There was this one time that it rained over the weekend and nobody was there to set up the trash bins, the carpets were soaked and there were piles of fallen plaster. Oh right, I forgot to tell you! The plaster on the ceiling of that hallway also falls down whenever it rains. It's lovely! (SARCASM ALERT)
Speaking of plaster, let me tell you about this door on the first floor. The door is sort of behind a staircase and the door leads outside. To the left of the door, there is a wall where the plaster has completely abandoned its post and is now on the floor. The fallen plaster allows you to see a collection of exposed wires... yeah... My school's a mess.
I'll leave this chapter here. I hope there won't be as long of a gap between this one and the next. I'm probably going to have a lot more time on my hands in this next month so hopefully, I can get more stuff done.
