O Mother O Mother
You come to us all,
O Mother of children,
You come when we call.
O Mother O Mother,
The paths you tread are dangerous ones,
O Mother O Mother,
The care you give like we’re godly sons.
O Mother O Mother
I ask of you,
What good can I do
with the world’s insanity?
O Mother O Mother,
All I ask,
is to explain
human inhumanity.
O Mother O Mother,
By God’s guided Grace,
Shall life be worth living?
To lead to the place,
So golden and warm,
Like our mother’s womb,
Where all life is born,
And all life return.
