She gave all of her family's stuff away. She was happy that a weight got lifted from her shoulders. She asks, "So what do you say?" "YES!" He says, happy and excited. He starts to jump up and down like a little girl. He then walks to his house thinking, "Finally I won't go to a house that is empty. Finally someone will open the door for me. Finally… I won't be alone." He gets to his house and packs everything and moves in with Elain.
After a few weeks he got settled into the house. One day he comes home to Elain bleeding on the floor crying, scared, and screaming, "SOMEONE HELP ME!" She says. He gets scared and hurries to her. He picks her up by her legs and upper back. He then carries her to his car very fast. He drives to the hospital as fast as he can. Once they get there he carries her into the infirmary. The doctors and nurses crowd him and ask him questions of what happened but all he can say is that he found her on the ground. The doctors told him, "Okay we'll take care of your girlfriend." They smiled faintly. And he walked away. He wondered why they thought she was his girlfriend but then also. he thought of how she was doing, and if she was safe, and still alive. He starts crying. While he's sitting on the chair in the waiting room, he can feel his body ache for her, wanting her near him so bad he can't even think straight.
He starts hugging his legs and rubbing them comforting himself like the way she did to him when he was crying in front of her. After waiting for hours. The doctors come out and tell him the news. "She's ok she's in the recovery room for now you can see her if you like." he says, "Okay thank you so much." They ask, "Oh also does she have any family we can contact?" he says, "No they died 2 years ago. I'm the only thing she has." Then he walks away. He starts looking at the ground wondering what he will see when he sees her. The same innocent little girl? Or a hurt, sad, and lonely girl that is now 17. He walks in and sits down next to her hospital bed. And looks at his feet. She wakes up and says, "You know my brother died here. It still smells the same. Like doctors soap and new gloves." she looks at him. And realizes he's been crying for her this whole time.
She starts crying and he looks up and says, "Why are you crying?" He sniffles and wipes his tears away like it didn't happen. "You're not supposed to be crying. You're supposed to be happy." He smiles and his tears come back out of his beautiful dull eyes. She starts laughing and crying. And they start laughing, and it makes them happy again. Like nothing happened this time. Like they were okay together, and they would never be able to separate, because they would be sad if they did, and lonely.
Once she got discharged he was happy to take her home. He drove her carefully and asked her, "Are you okay? Do you need anything?" The whole ride back home. When they got home she was happy that he cleaned the house. And it was spotless. It was perfect, just the way she liked it, as always. She goes on the couch and lays down on her back. She groans a little bit. As if it hurt her. Mohammed thinks to himself 'wow i can't believe it's been so long since she's been home it must've been exhausting.' He then lays down next to her and cuddles her. He then puts on the movie Chainsaw Massacre. And she falls asleep on his chest. And he smiles and looks at her face. He starts to brush her hair with his fingers. Then he puts her hair behind her ear. He thinks to himself. She looks so peaceful. He turns off the movie and falls asleep while she's on his chest.
