Leon's POV
Was what they were saying true? Am I actually this stupid? Maybe that's why Violet's going through all this trouble... I was deep in thought when the door opened and in walked Violet, a troubled look fixed upon her face. "There are some more people I would like you to meet this evening," her voice was gentle and quiet.
" Right. " I nodded and glanced out the window. She sat down next to me and I didn't bother to acknowledge her as her weight shifted on the bed. I wanted to believe she wouldn't do the stuff those strangers mentioned, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. I would just have to wait and see what happens. "You okay?" I asked when I noticed she spaced out.
" Oh, yeah. Just thinking about things, " she stared at her hands. "Hey, Leon?" Her voice was soft.
" Yeah? " I answered leaning back.
"Have you ever been in love?" She asked bluntly.
I flinched, " Yes, I have. A while back. "
"Oh, really?" She practically mumbled.
"Yeah, she was wonderful, until I killed her." I turned my head away and shook slightly.
I could feel her concerned stare on my back as she asked, "W-What do you mean?"
"At the time I didn't know I was a ghoul, and got her pregnant. Her body couldn't handle both Straghoul and Human genes, so she died and so did our child. Her parents blame me and I blame myself, too." I tried to rush through the explanation as I continued,
"Leon-"
"I was so irresponsible and clueless." I interrupted .
"Leon, you didn't know, you couldn't help it. It's not your fault." Violet quickly interjected .
"Doesn't change anything, I did that to her." My eyes grew cold as I stared at Violet.
" You blaming yourself doesn't change anything either, and if I were her I would be mad at you for blaming yourself for something you can't control! ", Violets voice trailed after.
" Well you're not, and never will be someone so special to me! Who are you to tell me how I should feel! " My voice rose over hers and I spotted tears in her eyes.

Adonis POV
Returning to the lodge after my talk with Violet, I spotted a hyped up crowd of idiots. Not unusual around here though, someone probably challenged Milan again. I feel bad for the newbies sometimes- they don't know not to bother fighting with her. They'd never stand a chance.
"Milan Krea." I sighed mumbling. I ran my hands through my hair with an irritated sigh as I heard chorus of cheers and a screaming body hit the ground. Poor kid.
"Alright, move out people!" I shouted as I shoved my way to Milan. I couldn't help the small smile that creeped upon my face the closer I got to her. Her hand was raised in the air, waving to everyone as they hollered and cheered. That irritating grin smacked on her face like a squashed neon bug. The corners of my mouth twitched, turning into a sneer. She seemed to acknowledge my presence, but not my irritation. Milan flipped her dark blue hair in confidence and batted her soft silver eyes. Yeah, you may think her hair and eye colors are unnatural, but they're real. Straghouls can sometimes be born with unique traits like unnatural coloring. This can happen anywhere from the skin to the hair and eyes.
Milan skipped over to me as if nothing had happened, "Hey, Adon-"
I reached out to pinch both her cheeks, "Oh don't 'Hey, Adonis!' me! What did I tell you about brawling in the lodge?"
"OW OW OW!" She managed to blurt out.
I released her from my grip, "And it's what time of day?"
" I'm sorry, Don" she groaned massaging her face.
"If I catch or hear any of this again it's going to be worse." I announced as I crossed my arms.
"So does that mean I can fight outside the lodge??" She removed her hands from her face then unsheathed her spears, twirling them around in her hands. I glared in response to seeing her cover her face again. She tapped my foot with the end of her spear and smirked at me. I grimaced , it was always bad when she gave you that look.
"What if..." She began.
" What? " I sighed and placed a hand to cup my forehead.
"If you let me have one more fight, I'll help you get closer to my brother?" She snickered at my reaction.
I dropped my hand and yanked her over, "How the HELL do you know about that?!"
She continued to snicker mischievously, "I've seen the way you two look at each other."
my face flushed red, "Shut up."
" See, you're embarrassed! " She teased. "I know your soft spot now, Don."
" REED! " She yelled. A shadow flipped and turned in the sky. Suddenly a tall, muscular, dark haired, blue eyed man appeared in front of us.
"You called?" He said and motioned for Milan to continue.
" You remember Adonis, right? " She asked and shoved me forward.
My face warmed as he bit his lip, "Of course, how could I forget this handsome face?"
" I know right! " Milan gawked.
I smiled as he turned to walk away. Milan shot me a thumbs up and winked. She was irritating, but could be sweet sometimes.
I should probably ask Reed out soon, I blushed at the thought.
