Alex is sitting on the steps in front of her house, I thought that there would be more people wanting to say goodbye, not even my parents are here. Alex thought to herself. Alex sits there for 20 minutes, then 30, eventually an hour passes before she sees a white minivan drive up the road and into her driveway. Niki jumps out of the car and runs to Alex.

“Omg, thank god you are still here, I thought you had left already.”Niki says sitting down next to Alex. “I have something for you.” Niki pulls out a small black velvet box. She opens it slowly and inside are two silver rings, each one has a red infinity sign with a red rose next to it. “It's a promise ring,'' she says pulling one out. ''It means that if I ever see you again and there is still a piece of you that wants to be with me, you will run away, come home with me, and we can live happily ever after ”

Alex lunges herself into Niki's arms, tears streaming down her face. She takes one of the rings from the box placing it on her ring finger. “I swear, If I ever see you again I will force you to marry me if I have to.” she cries, “I thought that you would have forgotten what happened last night, considering how drunk you were.”

Niki laughs into Alexis' embrace, and then pushes her way “How could I forget the love of my life confessing to me, and kissing me.”  

“I’m sorry, that I can't do anything to help you. I don't want to leave, I want to stay here with you and be able to wake up to your beautiful face every morning and be able to kiss you goodnight every night. I'm sorry that I won't be here to protect you from your homophobic parents. I'm sorry that I'm leaving," She cries, "I love you, Niki. Please don't forget about me, or our promise." Alex says before a black limo pulls up to the house and the driver steps out to grab Alexes bags. Giving Niki a hug, Alex then starts to go over to the car before Niki grabs Alexes arm and pulls her into a soft kiss. 

Once The kiss was broken Alex speaks. "No goodbyes, No turning back, No last words. I will see you again and that's a promise." Looking at Niki she starts to pull away and is about to turn around when Niki's soft voice calls out to her.

"I love you. I swear, I will find a way to keep our Promise, no matter what." That was the last thing that Alex heard the love of her life say before getting sent away to the castle, hoping that it wasn't The last thing she ever heard Niki say. Please don't be an empty promise. Alex thought to her self before the limo pulled up to the castle
