Tie Him To Me (Book 1 of THTM The Series)

Heart hopped into the passenger's side and threw his bag down on his lap looking awkward.

Saint smiled and leaned over.

Heart clutched his bag tightly, eyes wide.

Saint looked at him, reaching down slowly.

Heart squeezed his eyes shut.

'Is he going to attack me again? Why is it always like this? Why am I anticipating it?'

He felt fingers slip on top of his own and opened his eyes, Saint's hand was clasped on the handle of the bag, two of his fingers overlapping Heart's.

Heart gulped.

He waited patiently, not for the sound in the car, but for their breathing.

Saint pulled gently and the bag slipped out of Heart's hands and past their faces, ruffling Hearts fluffy hair. He turned and placed it on the black leather seat in the back.

Then turned back to come around.

Heart gulped as Saint's face passed his own and he settled back into the driver's seat.

He did up his seat belt then started the car and started driving.

Heart listened to his chest pound in his ears and waited for the throbbing to ebb.

Saint glanced at Heart then back at the road a few times, before smiling.

"What did you think because our faces were so close that like a romantic movie I would stop and we would peer into each other's eyes and fall in love? I don't do love, now sex is another matter." Saint said snarkily.

"No." Heart responded snapping

As he folded his hands together in his lap so he didn't feel so stupid, then looked out the window.

'Yeah, that was exactly what I had been thinking.' he thought to himself, pouting and not understanding why he was feeling so miserably discontent.

'Jerk' Heart thought.

Saint chuckled. "Stop cursing me out in your head. I was only teasing." Saint said.

Heart turned to look at him, surprised.

"You are really easy to read."

"Where are we going?" Heart asked, trying to change the subject without sounding too put off.

"Phuket, I have business there."

"When will we be back?"

"Monday night."

"Monday night!" Heart exclaimed.

"Saint turned to him. Why did you have something you needed to do? I was pretty sure you had nothing better to do."

"I.." Heart stalled.

'He really didn't have anything he could use as an excuse, but he hated having Saint just know everything without asking him.'

"I can't just go to a different city, without telling my sister. Min might need me at home.'

"I already had Kit phone and informed your sister."

Heart fell back in his chair.

'An overnight trip with Saint, for multiple days… Why hadn't he thought of asking before agreeing to this mess…'

'Wait an overnight trip… I need stuff I can't just go on a trip with nothing. We will have to stop at my house. And then I can make up an excuse of why I can't go.'

'Yes, that is perfect, that's what I can do.'

Heart realized he could relax and enjoy himself since he would only travel through the city with Saint, and he could manage that safely.

Heart looked out the window, watching the traffic pass past them with a cheery disposition.

Saint looked over and smiled at him.

"You seem to be feeling more perky towards the trip. Finally, admitting your feelings?"

Heart turned to him, a sour look on his face before he forced a smile onto it.

"Nope, I am not going to get upset over something like this. You know why? Because I am going to have a great weekend."

"Sounds like you are saying you are going to have a great time with me." Saint purred.

"A weekend without you." Heart whispered.

Saints' smile remained as the epi-center of Bangkok whizzed past them. Heart kept his happy mood until he realized more and more of Bangkok whizzed past, neighborhoods flying by through traffic.

Heart looked up at Saint confused.

"Wasn't that my neighborhood back there? You didn't turn. You didn't remember? We need to go back."

"No, it's okay. We aren't stopping at your house. We will end up late for my meeting."

"What!"
