Mira and her family were farmers who lived in the small border town of Deikon, on the southern tip of the Kingdom of Galsendorn.
“Pull out these weeds right here,” She told her younger brother Jacob as she watered the garden in the front of their house. Her parents had not yet come back from the emergency meeting this morning, although she had seen the mayor running down the paved path leading to the Town Hall around twenty minutes ago.
(I wonder what’s going on.)
She had heard from the townsfolk about other border towns being attacked by bandits and was nervously awaiting the return of her parents in order to put her mind at ease.
At that moment, she saw a small group walking down the path that ran in front of her home, being led by the mayor. When the members of this group came into view, her eyes went wide with astonishment. There were six Holy Knights walking behind Mayor Stormwell, easily distinguished by the elegant white capes they wore. She had never seen one in real life but had learned about them at the schoolhouse and read about them in books, these were unmistakably Holy Knights. Mira also knew that to become a Holy Knight, you had to be an Elementalist of at least Rank 4, meaning that the 6 people in front of her right now were the closest things to gods she had ever seen. Her brother moved closer to her and grabbed onto her skirt, pointing at the group as they walked by, mouth agape.
(What the hell is going on?)
Having six Holy Knights in one place meant that something big was going to happen. She squeezed her brother tightly and watched as the unfathomably strong group passed by her house.
