For the better Or the worse

"I don't know why he always wants to one-up me. Like what will you get out of one-upping me? Nothing! So why the fuck does Jace constantly think he should do that?" I began to have a heated chat with Robin. It's not like I was mad at Robin because he didn't do shit. I just needed someone to vent to and Robin just so happened to be that someone. "I mean, come one, he already messes with my home environment and now he messes up school too? The teachers all want me to be as good as him but of course, I can't do shit."

"Okay, Chase. How about we calm down? Take a breather. Don't worry about him. Maybe you can't get all the grades Jace has. But you're doing your best in school. Don't listen to what the teachers say, just continue what you are doing." Robin placed his gentle hand on me while he addressed his speech.

"I guess you're right. It just makes me so mad! Especially Mrs. Gibbler. That witch."

"Yeah, everyone seems to hate her."

"No kidding. The only kid that likes her is probably my brother. And that's only because she loves him." Robin shrugged his shoulders.

"Why don't you ask Jace to help you study? He will most likely help you." Damn, why have I never thought of that.

"He probably won't. Especially since he wants to have the best grades."

"I guess so." Robin placed his tan hand on his chin in a pondering stance. "Well, if you ever do need help, I can try. I'm not horrible at school." Not horrible? That's funny.

"Not horrible? Got it. Next time I have a biology test I'll make sure to ring you so I won't fail." I smiled to Robin who was looking up at the star-filled sky. Normally, I don't see stars in Texas. Yet something about them pulled me into a new place. "The stars. Aren't they nice?"

"Stars are always nice. But who looked up at the sky and decided those stars made Orion? What type of brain did they have to where they visualized someone pulling back on an arrow?"

"Not sure, he must be smart though." I shrugged searching for Orion's constellation. I couldn't find anything interesting, in fact, it just looked like salt on a black surface. But the stars still had away of pulling me in.

"When I was little, I wanted to be an astronomer."

"Why?" I laughed at Robin's childish thoughts.

"I have no idea. That's what seven-year-old Robin wished." He shrugged and pointed at the stars. "You see, I memorized all of the constellations and what they look like. Not quite sure why I was very interested, but I was. Oh and I don't know the moon phases. Something I should know because like... obviously, but I don't."

"Well, in astronomy you don't need to know the moon phases."

"I guess that's true." Robin plastered on a beautiful smile. It's weird how contagious it is, I just have the urge to smile when he smiles.

"Well, the only constellation I know is the Big Dipper. So seven-year-old Robin is already better than seventeen-year-old Chase." I laughed making Robin laugh which only made us both laugh more.

"What did seven-year-old Chase want to be?"

"Probably a firefighter or maybe an astronaut." I honestly couldn't remember what seven-year -old Chase wanted to be. "Maybe a stop sign or possibly the color green. To be honest, I don't know." Robin rubbed his temple and looked at me.

"I could totally see you as a stop sign."

"So can I." I closed my eyes picturing me as a stop sign. "I would be the best stop sign the world has seen." Robin just sighed. I seemed to always make him sigh. Along with rubbing his temples. I'm just a pain to him over all.

"You are very interesting." I pointed at him.

"I hope that's interesting in a good way." He quickly looked away from me so I punched him in the arm. "I swear, do you shove rocks up your shirt? It feels like I'm punching bedrock."

"No, I don't. It would be weird if I did."

"Okay, but do you shove rocks into your skin?" Robin looked up at me with his eyebrows knitted together.

"Yes, I definitely put rocks into my arms so every time you punch me it's like hitting a rock." I smiled at him with my eyes narrowed.

"I knew it! That's the only possible and reasonable way to explain why it hurts so much." Robin slapped his forehead gently and just laughed.

"I don't think it's reasonable but what ever you say." I tapped my lip and looked at Robin's muscly arms.

"How did your arms become so..." I made the sound affect of an explosion to represent his massive arms.

"Uhh," Robin laughed. "It's called working out. It's a very important step for your arms becoming that way. I guess also a healthy diet but yeah."

"If only I could become that way. Man I could crush anyone who would mess with me." Robin shook his head with a smile.

"I definitely cannot imagine you with big arms. I think that ruins your whole look you have going on." I tilted my head at his words.

"My whole look? What does that mean?" Robin leaned back on his arms and looked up at the sky.

"Well you know, your appearance. How you present yourself. You don't present yourself in a macho way so I can't see you becoming macho." I smirked at Robin.

"So then how do I present myself?"

"Umm, well," Robin tried to accumulate words to describe me. "I'm not quite sure to be honest. I guess you're pretty considerate, so it kind of ruins the whole I'm a manly man act. But you also get mad really easily. You also throw a whole 'cutie'," Robin expressed this with air quotes. "Vibe. But yeah, that's it." It was quite interesting to see Robin's perspective of me.

"I'm a cutie, huh?" I smiled at Robin very devil like.

"Yes, the cutest cutie in all of cutie land." It was funny how he expressed it in a non-joking manner.

"Well, I guess that makes you the machoest macho in all of macho land. Wow, that's a tongue twister." Robin shook his head slightly with a laugh.

"Cutest cutie and machoest macho, doesn't sound that bad."
