I was very confused on Monday when Robin wasn't there. I was hoping he would be here so I could pester him about what had happened, but he didn't show. I carefully wandered the halls in search for him but only ran into random people. My nerves were suddenly relieved when I saw Serenity chatting with some other girls. I did my best at trying to stay away. But with her big doe eyes, she saw me.
"Hey, buddy." I rolled my eyes and continued walking. "Aww, that's got you so quiet?" I sighed and turned my attention to her. "Is it about you-know-who?" I cocked my head at her.
"I have no idea what you are talking about." Serenity smiled at me.
"Oh, you know. Robin." I shook my head at her with a shrug. "You know what I'm talking about, Chase."
"No, I really don't." Serenity began to get impatient with me.
"Stop playing dumb. You know what I'm talking about. On Tuesday?" I looked at her with a blank stare. "God you are such and idiot." She pulled my arm so we were at the side of the hall. "You know after you two,"
"Kissed?" I finished for her. "What about it?"
"You know where he went?"
"With you? Yeah I know. I figured that out myself. What is your point?" Serenity looked really pissed which I have no idea why she was.
"He wanted to forget all about it." She elongated the word all. "I, of course, gave him a helping hand." I just shrugged at her and began to walk away. "Chase, don't you want to know what happened?" This girl was really starting to tick me off.
"Serenity, I'm sorry sweetie, but I have to go to class." I had a tinge of annoyance in my tone and I knew she could tell.
"Chase he came over to my house." I sighed then just jogged off. I hate her.
I collapsed on the ground next to Robin with an annoyed face. "What's got you so mad?"
"A bitch."
"That's definitely not a nice word." I growled at Robin. "Sorry, Sorry. What's up?"
"I bet you know what's up." Robin shook his head. "The only possible girl I could ever talk about."
"Oh, you mean Serenity." I nodded. "What about her?" I sighed and rolled my eyes at him.
"You know what I'm talking about. Stop playing dumb with me."
"I thought I told you not to worry about that."
"You did? When?" Robin laughed a grand 'ol laugh.
"Oh yeah, you don't remember. Well I'll say it again, don't worry about it." I pouted at Robin.
"But I am!" He ran his hands through my hair with a laugh. Everything is back to normal. What the hell happened? "Now, let's clear everything up. Tell me what happened."
"Too much stuff going on at once." I punched Robin's rock-filled arm. "Didn't I already tell you?"
"You didn't tell me all of it."
"That's your fault." I narrowed my eyes at him while he laughed. "Why are you so interested? Everything is all cool. Okay?"
"But why is everything all cool?" Robin shrugged. "Robin! I'm being serious, tell me." Robin laid down on the grass with a smile. "I will leave if you don't tell me."
"No you won't." I stood up while he watched me.
"I will." I just stood there waiting. "Fuck, you're right, I won't." Robin laughed while I sat back down next to him. "Just tell me! Please!" I elongated the word please.
"Things. Things happened." I slapped Robin in the stomach as hard as I could which apparently wasn't hard enough because he just laughed even more.
"Robin I swear to god. Just tell me." Robin rolled his eyes and sighed then softly kissed me on the lips.
"That was pretty much the rest of it." I glared at him. "I'm not kidding. That's about it."
"You're lying. I know you are."
"Fine." Robin cleared his voice. "You whined to me a lot. You apologized about a hundred times. And yeah, that was about it."
"And you kissed me." Robin nodded. "On the lips." He nodded again. "Like your lips were on mine."
"Oh my god Chase. Yes!" I nodded slowly.
"And that was it?"
"Well, I took you home. Your brother was really mad at me though. But I mean, when is he not mad at me."
"Why is he mad at you?" Robin tapped his chin.
"I think that's a question you have to ask your brother."
"You know?" Robin laid back down.
"You ask so many questions." I scooted closer to Robin and sighed.
"Where were you today? At school I mean."
"There are just some things I can't tell you." I pouted softly. "Not today." He grabbed onto my arm with a soft squeeze which is probably the hardest he has ever held on to me.
"When will you be back?" I slid my small hand into his larger one.
"Whenever things get better."
