As Crimsyn sat in her bath she glowed. Everyday since she and Emeric had started "sparring" she'd experienced new sensations, new feelings that she had only read or heard about. Just the other day Emeric had joined her for laundry. She'd been standing over the barrel as she scrubbed at a pair of britches.
Crimsyn had been singing as she worked. Still satisfied from a deep session with Emeric. She had been under the impression that His Lord Emeric would be establishing new trades in the market for the day.
"Ooh la roo ooh la roo, this is the ballad of your lullaby. Hush sweet child, close thine eyes and dream of angels tonight." She sang as she rung out a pair of britches and hung them up with the others.
The room was quiet and filled with her voice. Emeric had been standing at the door way listening and watching. His smile faded as he looked down at the letter that had arrived. Her brother was coming for her in three days. It would be days before the time line was up, he had started keeping Crimsyn by his side as he went about his day. He enjoyed her company. One would even say he loved her. But she had her future already planned out. Emeric had sent a letter back with a request that he never thought he'd make.
Emeric had come up behind her wrapping his arms around her and kissing her neck. Crimsyn screamed and swung back. He caught her arm with a chuckle.
"You're getting better at this." He smiled as he started pulling up her skirts.
"Will you stop I have a mountain of washing to get done while Maude is in cooking." Crimsyn giggled fighting to keep her skirts down.
"Ms. Abernathy will be occupied with the baking while I occupy myself with..." He trailed off when he placed his hands on her bare hips.
There was silence as they heard a faint call from the kitchen. Crimsyn hadn't put on a slip this morning since she was going to be over a wash bucket the entire day.
"Well would you look at that I had best be getting back to this laundry before it rots through the brick." She laughed nervously as she felt something hard pressing against her rear.
"You are naked as a babe beneath this?" Emeric asked as he lifted the back of her dress to see her bare ass and a glistening pussy, "It would seem that you need some attention my darling."
Crimsyn started chewing on her lip as he leaned her forward, she gripped the side of the barrel as the cold air danced across her skin. Emeric had been gone all day yesterday and had gotten back late that night. Crimsyn had fallen asleep in his bed waiting. He'd planned on claiming her that night and tried to rush the meetings so he could be there, but he had missed her by meer moments of passing out.
Crimsyn moaned softly as his rough hands slid over her porcelain skin. Over the last two months she had become accustomed to his touch, began craving him through her day and would often find ways to be alone with him like now. Emeric slid his hand down to her pussy and licked his lips as he felt how wet she was and he had barely touched her.
A knocking at the door brought Crimsyn out of the dream.
"Crimsyn ye are going to be a prune if ye don't leave the tub soon." Maude called knocking again.
"I'm climbing out now. Good night." She called grabbing a towel and dressed
As she walked back to her room she hummed and braided her hair. She was happy, content, but there was still something missing. She admitted to herself a while ago that she had fallen for Emeric. She wanted to be his queen. He had called Angel on a few occasions, The Demon King and his Angel Queen. Maybe he didn't want her, she was just an unwelcome visitor. Someone to warm his bed until he took a queen worthy enough to stand by his side to give him children. Tears began trickling down her cheeks, she knew she was nothing more than a spinster, someone who took care of another's babies. When she returned home she would be going to a convent after going to court with her brother one last time. Once he wed than she would return home to attend his children, teach them, assist in raising them and long for her own.
Walking into her room she saw the window was open and a figure standing in front of it, she knew the man wasn't Emeric, he was tall and lean this man was stocky and tall. Crimsyn took the book from the desk by the door and threw it at him. When he caught it and stepped into the light. Crimsyn threw herself into his arms and cried.
"Donnell you are home." She cried hugging her brother tight.
"Crim I'm so happy you are safe. Mother sent word of what father had done and I rushed here. My coronation will be upon our arrival home. Mother cannot wait to see you again." Donnell said holding her at arms length to exam her well being.
"How did you get in without being seen?" Crimsyn asked thinking of all the hundreds of failed attempts.
"I am the King of stealth. I snuck in through the kitchen and stuck to the shadows." He said pulling back for another hug.
She had no idea her brother was coming for her, she was delighted that he had come but that also meant she would never see Emeric again. Donnell took off his coat and wrapped her in it as he took her out the window and down to his waiting horse. Crimsyn held tight to her brother as they stormed out of the castle gates, she didn't keep her eyes forward she looked back and saw a single flicker in the window of his study. Emeric was awake and no doubt watching as they rode off into the night.
"Your horse is waiting at my camp, I know how you hate to ride behind me." Donnell told her, but she barely heard him over the breaking of her heart.
"I know this is not where your home is, but I hope your heart will stay." Emeric said as he paced in front of his desk.
He had been up for hours thinking of some way to get Crimsyn to stay. So far, all he succeeded in was sounding like a mad man. He went over so many different ways of asking her to stay, to love him, to stay by his side. Nothing he thought up sounded right to him.
"Your Highness!" Ms. Abernathy screamed from the top of the stairs.
Emeric torn the door open and ran to the stairs and met her half way as she stumbled into him.
"Ms. Abernathy what is wrong?" He asked holding her.
"She is gone, the lass is gone. Her window is wide open." She cried looking back to Crimsyn's room.
"No." He said running towards the open door and saw that it was true, Crimsyn was gone.
He saw red and ran out of her room leaping over the bannister landing in a crouch as he sprung towards the door and out to the gates not stopping until he was at the bridge leading to his kingdom. Evidence of a large horse being on the bridge was there, her brother had come three days early. The bastard would pay, he was leaving for court in a few days. The matter would be dealt with even if it meant killing a king.
Crimsyn mounted her horse and clutched the reins. Tempted to go back, but obligated to return home. She followed her brother on the journey home, galloping the entire way, keeping pace with her brother's war horse. Only turning back to watch the black brick vanish from her sights forever. If God were merciful, she would see The Demon King again.
