Note: Sorry for the short chapter! I'll update a third part today as an apology!
I shook my head slowly with a heavy sigh as I watched Ibis' apparition fade away.
‘Nor was I expecting it to be.’ I thought to myself before I walked over to the door.
Once I had opened the door, I couldn’t say that I wasn’t too surprised to see Ryzel standing there! The sight of him only wearing a black robe that was decorated with white here and there while his accessories and make-up from earlier were long gone making me chuckle a little.
“Had this been the night where Ares and his guards patrol the village, he’d be as pissed as a firecracker at the sight of you at my door this late at night.” I snorted, Ryzel leaning against the doorframe while a smirk graced his features.
“Indeed, luckily for him though, I’m not here to test my luck. I’m merely here to check up on you.”
I raised a brow, what a surprise! Though...I could admit I was a tad bit annoyed at the fact, even though I would never sleep with the guy. I could admit that I found it fun to banter with him at times.
“I’m fine, my stuff is packed and I’m ready for tomorrow!” I grinned, causing him to chuckle a little.
“There’s not too much that I had to pack besides some clothes and my weapon, after all, besides my own kind. There are plenty of dangerous creatures out in the desert.” Ryzel sighed.
“You need a weapon to possibly fight your own kind?” I asked, my brow cocking a little.
“Indeed, once again, do try to understand that mortals and immortals aren’t on the best terms as of now. They’ll look for any reason to kill you or Ares, me? I’ll possibly be labeled as a traitor to my own kind!” I huffed, there was such little time to plan things out!
Unlike before, when I had first entered this world, I had time to think about what I wanted to do! But this? Facing against other demons that seemed to be stronger than anything I’ve ever encountered before? I had to think about how I was going to interact with them...with making sure I was right beside Ryzel for extra protection of course.
“Any ideas on how to face-off against your people?” I asked, Ryzel’s eyes widening a little before he laughed in disbelief.
“Face-off? Try not to my beauty.” He snorted.
“You are strong but...Beast Daemoniums aren’t like an Incubus or Succubus. They are known as The One’s favorites for a reason.” He sighed before he put his hand on my shoulder.
“Forgive me...”
I cocked a brow. “For what?”
“For my actions earlier tonight, I didn’t mean to act so pushy nor to scare you.” He said before I simply shook my head and gave him a pat on the shoulder.
“It’s fine.” I laughed.
“Besides, I think you pushing Ares a little will help the guy gain some more respect for you.” I continued, Ryzel shaking his head with a snort before he soon backed up.
“I hope so but, the night is beginning to grow weary. I’ll see you tomorrow my beauty.” He said with a small wink before he walked off, the wink making my heart begin to thump once more.
Oh God...don’t tell me, no, no, no! What in the world was wrong with me?! I couldn’t deny it to myself...and I definitely refused to be like those women who swore that they weren’t...did I-did I actually manage to gain a crush on Ryzel?
