A kid no more than maybe fifteen years old sits under a tree, he is mature looking for his age and has a saddened look. The tree which he sits under is a short distance from an antique-looking schoolhouse. There are many students and parents gathered in front of it. There are whispers about him, they call him the boy who killed his mother. He hears these comments about him, but barely reacts, almost as if he is used to such harsh treatment.

“Yaotzin!” Calls out a lady.

The boy turns around and faces a nun.

“If you keep on sitting in the grass, you’ll get your clothes dirty,” she scolds him.

Yaotzin stands up and walks past the nun into a carriage without saying a word. The nun follows him into the carriage and they both sit down. The carriage begins to move, Yaotzin leans against the walls of the carriage and closes his eyes. He sleeps for a while and is awakened when the carriage bumps over a rock. Yaotzin looks up at the nun

“Sister Joann, how come the drive home is longer today?” He says.

“We are going somewhere else today,” she replies.

After what seems like hours for Yaotzin, the carriage seems to slow down and Yaotzin hears a crowd outside. Eventually, it comes to a full stop. Sister Joann stands up and steps out of the carriage. She then signals Yaotzin to do the same, which he proceeds to do. Yaotzin steps onto a red carpet and there are hundreds of people around him and a path in front of him. The nun ignores the people and trots on forward and Yaotzin follows her. They walk up to the entrance of a castle and the doors slowly open to reveal a man dressed in fancy clothing, and with guards at both of his sides. All three men fall to their knees and bow. The man in clothing looks up to Yaotzin and says

“Welcome to your castle, my king.”

Yaotzin’s usually saddened expression turns into a surprised one. The man says that his name is Alexander and he was Yaotzin’s fathers’ adviser.

“My father?” mutters Yaotzin.

Yaotzin is instructed to move forward as the gates close behind him.

“Yes! Your father, King Abaddon the Great,” explains Alexander.

Alexander then looks at the nun…

“Why doesn’t he know that he is a royal?” he says.

“We tried to raise him modestly, we kept his royalty a secret and asked others around him to do the same.” the nun replied.

Alexander proceeds to explain to Yaotzin that he is meant to be King. Yaotzin is overwhelmed by all of this but simply nods. He hopes that this is just a dream. Maybe he fell asleep in the carriage, he thinks to himself.

“Follow me please, let me show you to your bed chambers,” says Alexander.
