"What are you gonna get Jumin for his birthday?" Miracle asked as she grabbed another manga from the stack that Parker made. "I'm planning to buy him a vinyl, a nerf gun, bandana and a manga."
"His birthday?" Parker put his manga down. "When is his birthday?"
Miracle raised her eyebrow. "Um, tomorrow? Did you forget?" She turned to look at him and sighed when she saw Parker panicking. "Of course you did."
"Oh my God, it's already October. Time passes by too quickly." Parker shook his head. "What the hell am I still doing here? I have to go and buy something for him!" Parker tossed the manga on the table and ran out of the room, slamming the door behind him.
Miracle stared at the door silently. After a few seconds, the door opened again. She looked at Scott who stared back at her.
"Where the fuck did Parker run off to?"
"He's off buying some presents for his crush," Miracle replied, turning her attention back to the manga.
"His crush, huh," Scott mumbled. "Hoo boy, I still remember when I was his age. Buying everything that my girlfriend asked me."
"Did you also had a crush on a guy?" Miracle muttered.
"What?"
"It's nothing," she sighed. "Close the door on the way out. And by the way, I'm going to the city later to buy a nerf gun."
"A nerf gun? For what?" Scott asked.
"For Jumin." She smirked and glanced at him. "And for myself. So be prepared."
"Don't even think about it. And if you are thinking about it, get that stupid idea out of your head or I'm shipping you back to your mom," Scott threatened.
"Okay, okay." She put her manga down. "I wanted to use it with Jumin anyway."
"Good," Scott replied.
Miracle looked at him from head to toe. "You're well dressed," she commented. "Going out?"
Scott nodded. "With Lisa. And I'm staying at her place tonight."
"Is there food left from yesterday or do I have to cook?" Miracle asked.
"I'll give you money if you want to buy something in the city," he replied. "I'll call you later."
"Bye, dad." Scott shut the door. After a few minutes of silence, Miracle heard the front door close.
"Home alone again, huh." Miracle stretched her arms and heard the sound of her ringtone. She grabbed her phone and answered it. "What's up?"
"What does Jumin like?" Parker asked. "I know what I could buy for Kyung and Min, but I don't think that Jumin has something that he likes."
"Where are you right now?"
Parker looked around and spotted a McDonald's in the distance. "I'm near a McDonald's right now."
"How am I supposed to know which one you're talking about?" Miracle rubbed head. "Just share your location with me, alright? I'll help you."
"Okay, thank you. I'll be waiting at McDonald's then." Parker hung up the phone and stared ahead of him. "What us a way to pass time?" Parker's eyes wandered back to the fast-food restaurant. "Guess I'll buy a milkshake then."
Some time passed by and Parker threw his milkshake in the trashcan when he saw Miracle approaching him.
"You could've waited for me," Miracle said.
"I forgot that you also had to buy presents for Jumin," Parker grinned. "Where do you want to go first?"
"To the game store."
They were walking in silence until Parker spoke up. "Does Jumin have a Playstation?"
"June's buying one for his birthday, but she doesn't know which games he would like," she replied as she opened the door of the store.
Parker exhaled deeply from his nose and walked to all the Playstation games. He grabbed Persona 5 and Yakuza 0 for Min, the new Call Of Duty and GTA 5 for Kyung, but he didn't know what to get for Jumin self. He stared at all the games without knowing which one to get.
Miracle joined him after a few minutes. "What did you get?" Parker showed her the games. "Nice."
"But I don't know what to get for Jumin," Parker mumbled as he scratched his head. He looked back at Miracle who was holding her phone against her ear. "Who are you calling?"
"Wait a minute."
The ringing on the other end stopped. "Hey edge lord. What the fuck do you like?" Miracle didn't get a reply and she heard that the call has ended. Parker looked at her confused while she called him back.
"What?" Jumin demanded.
"What do you like?" The other side of the line stayed quiet.
"I don't really have anything that I like. Why?" Jumin sighed when he knew why. "You guys don't have to buy me a present."
"Oh, I get it. You just want to spend the day with "him"," Miracle grinned. Jumin didn't respond to her. "I'll let him know that you want to spend the day together with him tomorrow."
"What? Miracle WAI-" Miracle hung up and turned to Parker as a smirk spread on her lips.
Parker frowned out of confusion. "Was that Jumin?" He asked. "And who's "him"?"
"By the way Parker, Jumin said that he doesn't have plans tomorrow," she said. "And I just got the perfect plan. If you can spend the day with him, June and I can prepare a small surprise party."
"That's a good idea," Parker whispered as he looked at the games. "But does he want to spend more time with me?"
"Why wouldn't he?"
Parker looked down at the floor. "Well, these days it looks like he's trying to avoid me. When I ask him to hang out, he says that he's too busy with schoolwork or he says that he has to help June around the house. And he doesn't want to sleep with me anymore when he sleeps over." Parker looked at Miracle. "Did I do something wrong?"
Miracle narrowed her eyes. "Did he really do that?" Parker nodded and Miracle patted his head. "You didn't do anything wrong. I think that he's just being insecure," she smiled. "Who in their right mind would do something like that to Parker?"
"Insecure?" Parker echoed. "What is he insecure about?"
"I think that I know about what," she replied. "Don't worry about it. I'll talk to him later, alright?"
"Okay," he grinned. "So, what's the plan?"
