Note: Apologies for the short part!
I sighed as I forced myself to answer his second question, the memories of learning only bringing down my mood.
“Kidneys are the organs in charge of handling waste and all that,” I explained.
“But for your final question? I got my love for fantasy like anyone else I suppose!” I laughed.
“Reading and watching movies, I love make-believe as much as I love the truth. After all, there’s always a bit of make-believe in everything isn’t there?” I snickered, a small yawn suddenly escaping me.
All these questions, memories and trying to recall the past...slowly but surely, it was beginning to suck the energy out of me.
“Our world isn’t real in your world?” I let out a small hum before I used my hand to tick off the reasons.
“Hm...magic, insanely hot men and women at every turn, pet dragons, elves and more? Yep, this place is pretty make-believe to me. I won’t lie that I thought I was dreaming for the first few days I was in this world.” I snorted.
“Everything nonlogical is make-believe on Earth, why? Simple, if we can’t explain it, it’s just...not useful to us in a way. Something to be used for stories and nothing more.” I huffed.
“Oh! Then one final question about your world then my beauty.” I cocked a brow, my gut telling me that I should prep myself for this final question.
“Alright, lay it on me.”
“Did-did your world have my kind? Daemoniums?”
Everything in me froze...though it wasn’t a lie to say that we did, it would be a lie to tell him upfront that they were good like he was...like his world currently thought. My world saw demons as evil, demonic creatures...and they were! There was a reason why they came from down below instead from up above after all but...how was I supposed to tell that to him?
‘...Simple, you don’t.’ I thought with a sigh before I shook my head with a scoff.
“We don’t have any demons in my world, there’s no such thing,” I said before another yawn escaped me, causing me to let my head fall back onto Ares’ side while the centaur eventually rolled over onto his side as well.
“Sleep well my beauty.”
“Goodnight Eos.”
“Nighty-night y’all, see y’all in the morning,” I said with another yawn before my eyes slowly but surely began to close.
The journey to a new land...it resumed tomorrow.
