Dylan Hanover
“I am not going.” Edward says. Our classes start tomorrow and let’s just say, nobody wants to go back.
“You don’t have a choice.” I say. Edward looks at me, glowing, red string wrapped around his wrist. “And we don’t even have classes for the first semester.”
We are at the top of the school, well world, and tomorrow we are introducing the new students to each topic. And then we give them a show and some fights between us. And then they get tested to see where they are at.
All of us are assistant teachers for each power set, there is the main teacher but since we are better than them we get to help out. And that means skipping out on normal classes for the first semester.
“So? I still don’t want to go.” Edward says.
“I don’t want to give that stupid speech.” Charlotte says, her dark teal hair is in a bun on the top of her head.
“Yeah, me neither. But my main thing is waking up early.” Edward says.
“Yeah, then you can’t party all night and bring women home.” I say.
“Hey! Don’t discriminate, I am bi- I bring both home. And I haven’t been doing that recently.”
Evelyn Nadeau
(The next day.)
The headmaster steps up onto the podium and everything goes silent. I am surrounded by hundreds of kids and I definitely don’t like it.
“Hello new students.” The headmaster says and everybody cheers. “I would like to introduce you all to Hanberry’s school of Powers.” Everybody cheers again. “I am a Mind Manipulator-” OoOoOos occur everywhere. “Yes- I know.” He raises up his right wrist, a glowing red string is wrapped around it. “But by no means am I the best. I have 5 kids here who are best in the world and who are going to explain to you all what every power does. I am now going to pass it over to Charlotte Trapp.”
The headmaster leaves the podium and a woman, with dark teal hair which is cut short and pastel pink eyes, walks up. She is wearing a wrap dress that is the perfect color of her hair. She is actually quite beautiful.
“Hello everybody.” Cheers. “My name is Charlotte Trapp, as you already know. And I am a Healer.” She lifts up her right wrist and a glowing yellow string is wrapped around it, “The healer, as you may have guessed, heals. And I am part of the M.M.C.’s.” The head magic group of the world. “I am a defence because I doubt anybody wants their enemies to be healed. Would anybody be willing to help me demonstrate?”
Just about everyone raises their hands. Except for me. Charlotte scans the gym and her tulip eyes land on me. No. “You.” She points. “The one with dark-pastel-purple hair and pastel purple eyes.” She is oddly specific. “Come on, you’ll be fine.” A girl next to me lifts me up and over her to the front of the crowd. Handsy.
“What is your name?” Charlotte asks after I get up to the stage.
“Evelyn Nadeau.” I say and she smiles.
“Well Evelyn, that is a beautiful name.” I can feel heat rising to my cheeks. “Would you mind getting hurt?”
“Sure. But I already have cuts on my legs.” I blurt out.
“Oh- Well then- Okay. Give me your hand.” I hand it over and she holds my hand. We both start to glow and then all the pain flows away. “Done!” The room had gone completely silent. “Would you mind staying close to the front? My partners may need you.” I nod and walk off the stage onto the stairs. “Thank you. Well I will be seeing everybody for the fights.” She says, “Introducing Vincent Tudor.”
She walks off stage and a man comes on. He has long elderberry hair in a manbun and lemon yellow eyes. He is pretty hot. “Hello everybody.” Cheers and swoons from other women. And men. “My name is Vincent Tudor, I am part of Teleportation.” He teleports to the opposite end of the stage. Then he teleports to the back of the gym, on a platform. “As you can see.” Everyone laughs, then he holds up his right wrist. A black, sparkling, magical string hangs off of it, then he teleports back on stage. “I actually don’t have much to say. It’s cool and amazing. I hope to see some of you in it. Introducing Edward Saxe”
I hear people whispering, “I want teleportation just because of him.” Girls swoon.
Then a man with black hair and glowing eyes comes on stage wearing a suit with the buttons mostly loose. Looks like Vincent Tudor has an enemy. “I am Edward Saxe as Vincent has said.” He explains, “And I am a Mind Manipulator.” He holds up his right wrist, a bright red glittering, glowing string is wrapped around it. “You can change people’s perception of reality.” He explains, “You can also change people’s emotions and feelings. But I don’t do that anymore because- Because something that happened a few years ago.” His voice changes, sad and upset. “I made a mistake and lost the best thing that had ever happened to me.” Then his face changes, then his face literally changes. Into a Greek god. “But it is not just that. See. I am still myself. But you guys think I am a Greek god.”
“You think you are a greek god.” Some man with blush pink hair and pale blue eyes sticks his head out from the side.
“And that is my Ex-boyfriend, Dylan.” He laughs. A liar’s laugh.
“Don’t tell them about that!” Dylan yells. “It’s embarrassing I could have ever fallen for you.” Edward grimaces.
“Well let me explain all the ways you fell for me.” Edward walks off the stage and they start whispering.
Then Dylan comes up on stage, red faced. “I apologize for his idiocy.”
