Sarah yawned as the six entered the clearing at the back of Deikon.
“Was two hours not long enough?” Oliver smiled.
“Shut up.” she smiled back.
“Ah, you guys are finally here,” Stefen greeted them, Gabriel and five other members of the town guard were standing beside him.
“We brought your equipment over from the stables, please let us know if there is anything else you’ll be needing.”
“Ah, my spear,” Clark walked over to where his spear had been propped up on some boxes and swung it around in such a quick blur that all the untrained eye could possibly see were afterimages. The town guardsmen looked on with slightly uneasy expressions as Clark casually moved quicker than their eyes could keep up with.
“Is there a well near here?” Nina asked as she walked over to her water jug.
“Ahh, yes if you go straight up this road, there is a path to your left after the tenth house, do you want some of us to help you carry it?” Stefen replied.
“No, it’s fine, I can make the water weightless after it’s in the jug,” she smiled back. “Alec, come with me, please.”
After they had left, Stefen turned to Oliver and Sarah, “Do you two not have any weapons or special devices?”
Oliver opened up his cape, revealing two daggers on either side of his hips. “Sarah doesn’t have anything.”
“Ah I see,” Stefen narrowed his eyes, “By the way, what is the plan?”
“Plan? I don’t really have one, I just plan to wait here until they show themselves.” Oliver bluntly said.
“Umm, ok,” Stefen looked slightly uneasy, “We’ll rotate five or so guards in and out alongside me and Gabriel. And I’ll have them bring food every now and then, I guess.”
“Sounds good.
