Steven woke up. He stretched before pulling on his hoodie. He put a few of his earrings in and took a deep breath. "Today is gonna be crazy. Sapphire! How will the cluster mission go?" He asked walking up to the blue gem. "It will be difficult for us. The fusion should help us. Spinel, Pearl, 2 rubies and Jasper should stay." She said. "Thank you." He nodded before standing up. "I need a ruby!" He waited until a Ruby walked up. "You will help us on our mission, Ruby." He smiled a bit and walked over to Garnet. "We could use your help. Would you like to come?" He asked. Garnet nodded. "Why not. You might make things worse without me." Steven walked out. They all got in the drill. "Who is good at technology? Im good at some, but would need help." Sapphire nodded. "I can help. I know a bit." Steven smiled slightly. "Thanks." The two worked on starting the drill. They soon started to drill though the Earth's crust. Steven sat down with a sigh. "This might take a bit. Wanna talk?" The other gems in the drill nodded. Garnet unfused so she wouldn't be crowded. G Ruby sat down. G Sapphire sat next to her. Steven sat down with Ruby and Sapphire sitting on either side of him. "Well! What is fusion like? When I fused it lasted a few seconds." Steven said. "Oh! It's really cool! We are a perma-fusion. We do everything together really!" G Ruby announced. Steven nodded. "Mhm that sounds cool.." He took his sweatshirt off as they got deeper into the Earth. "Its getting hot.." He mumbled flopping on his back. Sapphire looked out the small window. "We are approaching the cluster!" She announced causing Steven to quickly get up. His head was ringing from the pressure.
