With Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl possessed by White Diamond, Connie trapped and him dying, all was lost. As Steven wonders if this could get any worse, White flicks him away, him landing with a loud thud. Connie, trapped in Pearl's hands, can only emit muffled screams of pure panic as Steven struggled to get up, failing again and again. After a few minutes of trying, he collapsed and didn't move. As soon as Connie saw, she tried to wrestle away Pearl's arm, but to no avail. she fought and she struggled, and finally, she freed herself from Pearl's grasp. White took no notice, and so Connie rushed towards Steven. He lay there, not stirring, his eyelids closed, and his mouth gaping. Once Connie got to Steven's side, she immediately checked his pulse. No pulse. He's gone. She tried to process the information, but her brain simply couldn't make sense of it. 'He's dead. He's not coming back.' Connie's eyes welled with tears of sadness and anger. She was in disbelief. Although with no sword in hand, she picked up Steven's gem shards and  rushed towards White, yelling, ' YOU KILLED STEVEN! YOU- YOU KILLED MY BEST FRIEND! ARGHHHHHHHHH!' White looked over. She didn't respond. Connie clutched White's shoe tightly, pounding hard with her fist, shouting out loud, 'YOU KILLED HIM! YOU-YOU MONSTER!' White stared at Connie with disgust. 'Puny, minuscule human.' She picked her up, and flicked her away the same way she did Steven. Connie landed just beside Steven, and looked in fear as White said, 'Now, time to deal with these awful, lying, out of line gems. Let me think, who should I shatter first?'
