Okay so this is VERY messy because it's just notes that I have about them so far (also if you're from the wall and are annoyed at me I'm sorry)
*The beginning/ background*
-There is a human war that the robots are wrapped into
^Tom is a war robot who had to fight in the war
^Vee and Bee were like household robots? Vee was like a maid who would teach kids and Bee was like an Alexa basically
^Annie was like a small drone to get things for people, like to grab pencils or do small tasks
^Stew was supposed to fix robots that got hurt in battle
-There are 5 generations of the robots, they get more complex as the time goes on.
^Tom is first gen, which is why he is older and less complex. His emotions are also less "developed" as a result.
^Annie is 4th generation, I think not only because she is smaller and has a more childlike personality, but because as the war goes on there was more diversity in the robots, not just fighting ones.
By that logic, I think you can tell why the rest are the generation they are (Stew is 2nd, Bee and Vee are the tie between 3 and 4)
-The robots are kinda like out on their own in the wilderness, hiding from the humans who would take them away and bring them back to war and destruction. I think they'd have a ship of some kind that they live in
-They left their roles because…
^Tom got lost in the nature while in the middle of a battle and while he was lost he grew to resent war and all the humans
^The house where Vee worked blew up from the fighting, killing the kids they taught. They could never forgive the humans
^Stew saw all the destruction and damage the robots accumulated and couldn't take it anymore
^Bee worked with Vee and so they left together, though Bee wasn't there to see it
^Annie got tossed out by her owner and Tom took her in, to the chagrin of Stew
*Dynamics between characters*
-Annie and stew are frenemies, think C3PO and R2D2 but if R2D2 was constantly mad and if C3PO had the personality of a petulant child
-Tom likes annie like if she was his pet? That's a bad way to put it but basically he wants to take care of (not in a creepy way though, of course).
-Vee and Bee have a sibling dynamic, they are similar and are close but also have conflicting personalities. They get along very well with each other in general.
Here's their dynamics in more detail:
-Vee has few contentions with the others, but is particularly close to Bee. (She's a little bit closer to Tom than Annie and Stew, but not by an overwhelming margin).
-Bee has a hard time with Stew and Annie (Bee and Stew's relationship is like Spock and Bones', they're not enemies and care about each other but they still a hard time because they have different ways of thinking and contrasting personalities), but he gets along very well with Vee and Tom.
-Tom doesn't like Stew because he doesn't like Annie, but Tom likes Bee and Annie.
-Stew doesn't like Annie, likes Bee, thinks of Vee as an annoying parent but doesn't mind, and generally doesn't mind Tom.
-Annie likes to irritate Stew and thinks of him as a friend. She likes Tom and respects Vee. She also likes Bee but doesn't respect him.
*The Work in Progress notes*
Characters to still make more dynamic in design:
Tom- will make arms more flexible and add a neck
Annie- look at robot references, maybe give her a bit more of a "body"
Stew- honestly I don't know what to do about his design
I still like Vee and Bee's designs in general. I will elaborate more on Bee's screen thing- How does it help him? How was it used before? How does it work?
Characters to still make more dynamic in personality:
Bee needs more motivation than just "I joined because of Vee"
Stew needs more personality- Why is he angry all the time? What's his purpose in life? He was angry at the destruction, but what made him join the robot gang?
Tom- I honestly like where he's at as a sensitive character, but I think I want to also give him a cold and emotionless side when he fights, which is why he tries to avoid war and fighting as much as possible.
Annie- She's kinda like stew, she needs more motivation and personality. There's lots of room for character growth though, I'll build on that.
Vee- I kinda like hers too, as a reminder she is generally warm and peace driven, but has periods of deep depression and anxiety due to how traumatic it was when the children were killed by the bomb
