Compacting the road a fair bit from his home, Jun is sent flying through a small forest. Hammering the ground, smacking trees, grinding across a sea of rocks, over a river and halting atop a boulder. His body was fine but his clothing had torn all over along the way. Being one with his thoughts, he hears a voice - a man complaining. “Who are you?” he asks in a faint and weak tone. What could be his spirit was floating in a world of darkness, aside from a subtle aura of the other. Mars exhales deeply, clearly not happy with the situation he’s in. “I come from the land of gods, being a god myself,” he begins. Mars explains what he’d known to have taken place. “So…The village, my home, is gone. And what of the room people were entering? The large dome made to protect us from storms? Is there any hope for survivors?” His heart began to race.
A few hours have passed when a group of three travelers spot the unusual trail left by Jun. The trio follow the trail to investigate. Soon enough they reach him and turn him on his back. Though the damage he took was great, and his case severe if he was normal, there were no scars or scratches on his body. With no result of waking him up, the three set up camp and rest him near the river. More hours pass and one of them returns with a floating bubble from the lake of healing. Jun’s body is put into a panic, his mind finally connecting to his body. The three crowd around him readying for his awakening. Jun forces his eyes to a night sky sprinkled with stars every which way; three silhouettes hone in above him. One bearing rugged shorts but a tidy jacket, he’s clearly been through a lot. The other two had tidy and interesting attire with out-of-place accessories - appearing to be commoners but the odd item of royalty giving away the fact they’re special.
The three attempt conversation when Jun rushes to his feet and looks around, his breath unsteady. Taken by surprise at his sudden burst of worry, they try to calm him. Visions of what had just taken place flood his head and sets him in a frenzy. Jun spots a trail of destruction he assumes is his doing. He takes a quick assessment of the condition of his body - just fine - and without thinking much of it, speeds off down the track of ruin. Scanning the area for oncoming obstacles, he notices he’s moving significantly faster and there’s more spring to his jumps. His thinking, quick, and his acrobatics improved. He stops at the road and assesses his body once more, shocked at his abilities. As questions fill his head, Mars chips in to further explain. “With us connected right now, you’re passively given similar abilities to me. More agile and stronger comparatively. However, those are only skills you gain passively. Invulnerability or skills specific to me require a power from me to you.” Jun calms himself a bit and slows. “There are a few requests I must make if we are to continue.” Jun ignores Mars’ dialogue and regains his bearings; he bolts in the direction of the lake. Remembering the cyclone, the water should've decreased in size quite a bit. It looked just as it did before, but lonely and abandoned.
The three chase after Jun, however falling a fair bit behind. They come to a stop at the pit which was before filled with water. They spot a figure powering through the middle of the lake toward a charred village, the flames only just now dying out. They got their answer as to why the boy was panicking.
Upon arrival, Jun walks into his devastated home, looking for any survivors at all - running toward the bunker first of all. As he approaches the sanctuary, it’s clear to him the place didn’t hold up. The pacing of his feet slows and his eyes filled with horror as he stares into an abyss of corpses. Mars notices this and tries to quickly calm the boy as he slips into a panic attack. It was too much for Jun to take all in at once and he faints near the foundations. The three travelers had made their way over in a hurry to the fallen child. Sunlight pierces the sky and night turned to daybreak, a very difficult and perilous journey awaits.
