Revi regarded her surroundings carefully. It seemed the world before was only made of the darkness and flowers. Kneeling, she scrutinized the nearest flower and saw that the entire plant was blue from its bud, stem, and roots. The stem and roots looked to be opaque, and the bud bright and stable. The intensity of the color in every flower was overwhelming. each flower varied from blue to purple
She pitched her hand hard to check if she was dreaming. It was a genuine pain, and it did not affect changing her surroundings. It was not a dream. She walked the field carefully, keeping her eyes at a squint. Every step came with the fear of questioning I could fall through at any time or a gap in the path ahead. She figured if she fell off here, she may never feel the solid ground again if anyone could even call it that. She was able to see the roots that held a plant up from underground through the field, but it did not seem like stable footing.
"As long as I step where the flowers are, I should be fine… I ho-"
Cautiously she made her way to the newly found curiosity in the distance. Before she could finish, her attention locked on to the far side of the invisible field. A blue-violet mound stood out alone next to the flat structure of the rest of the ground the flower grew. It stood two meters from what she could tell was an interwoven net of the same flowers that lay around her.
Making her way over, she reached out with her hand. She realized the flower buds felt warm to the touch and soft like skin. But as her skin touched the drawn pedals, the bud burst opened into a bloom. In an instant, all the flowers open in a wave radiating for the point of her finger. The top of the mound ignited as a great orb of violet-blue fire sat at its head.
A voice permeated around Revi. "What is this I have here, a thief or maybe an assassin?".
Startled, she jumped back, landing on the back of her buttocks. The bloomed flowers around her stretched out into flowery vines and curled around her arms and legs. Panicked, Revi pulled and twisted but found their grip too strong.
"How did you get in my Ego-well girl!?" There was both fear and anger in the voice of the flame as it spoke
"I-I don't know, I woke up, and I was here," panic evident in Revi's voice.
Purple vines crawled from Revi's arms to her shoulders, then neck. The disembodied voice burned with anger with every word, "I will ask you one more time, girl! How did you find and get into my Ego-well?".
"I don't know what that is or where I am…I...fell an-" the vines tightened around her neck, restricting her breathing.
"Do not lie to me, human, or I will crush your throat here and now."
"I-I'm not lying… please let me go…" every word was a painful battle for her now.
"It is ...unrealistic for a girl to accidentally enter my well. I've given you two chances to explain how and why you are here and have you given nothing but lies. Which means you are here with nefarious motives."
Revi's mind raced for a response that would not leave her choked to death by the flowers. Gasping for air and losing consciousness, Revi searched for something to say to reason with her attacker. But she could not come up with anything that she was sure would not sound like a lie to her attacker. With every moment, it became more challenging to think and reason her away out of vines. She had to do something now. With the last of her breath, she yelled with a hoarse voice the most reasonable thing that came to mind at that moment.
"I'll Give some of my potatoes from back home if you let me go."
With that utterance, the last seconds of sight left her as the world started to go black, as her vision faded away.
