I had never been so happy in my entire life. I couldnt believe hitting on a guy was so simple.

I laid in bed talking to myself and imagining what I would say to Stephan when he picked up the call.

"Why do you keep whispering to yourself?" my cousin turned around and asked

"I'm practicing"

"For what"

"A phone call"

"With who"

"Stephan"

"You mean Stephan Abraham"

"Yeah, that's the guy! he gave me his number" I showed off

"Hmm that's funny, I have known Stephan for a while now and his, not the type to just give out his number"

"What do you mean?" I asked, "and how on earth do you know Stephan?"

"I'm friends with him. We went to the same high school and played basketball together"

I took a moment to soak in everything my cousin had said and then I screamed.

"Seriously Vera how could you not have told me you were his friend"

I wasn't surprised that Vera knew Stephan. She was a little bit of a tomboy, Unlike me who always dressed up pretty and girly, my cousin Vera was always in shorts, t-shirts, and sweatpants.

Vera was still actually very pretty and I told her a thousand times that if she wore some make up the whole world would be at her feet.

With Vera busy on her computer I finally got the courage to call Stephan and I knew exactly what I was going to talk about.

Firstly I would say thank you to him for giving me his number then I would talk about Vera and mention that she was my cousin.
