Andrew is so done with school. The amount of tests he has coming up is ridiculous, and none of them come with a study guide what the hell. So much work needed to be done to prepare, on top of going to class almost everyday.
He was making his way to his final lecture of the day, looking down at his phone at the stupid texts Nicole kept sending him.
‘If pigs could fly would they still be considered pork or poultry’
Why was she asking these questions, wasn’t she in class she should be focusing. The more she slacks off just means the more he has to tutor her.
“Ooof” as he was typing back a response he accidentally ran into someone, typical leave it to him to be an awful multitasker.
“Hey, Princess you need to pay more attention to where you’re going, we wouldn’t want you getting hurt” He knew that voice, and only one person had ever called him princess before. Tobi the jock from the coffee shop, proceeds to help him up.
Like a loser, Andrew just stares at him, not quite sure what to say.
“Hello, earth to princess, you all right” he seems very committed to the nickname.
“Uhhh yeah i’m fine” he brings his hand up to nervously scratch behind his head “do you mind not calling me that it's’ kinda…” he trails off
“Cute, I know it suits you and I like it,”
Before Andrew can respond to the comment he's hoisted up to his feet with ease.
“I’ll see you around princess” he says with more emphasis on the word this time “don’t want to be late for class.” Tobi yells, waving to him as he walks off.
What was up with that guy and why does he insist on calling me such an embarrassing nickname.
------------------------------A Few Weeks later------------------------
Andrew had just left his psychology class hoping that he had passed the awful test he took. Why were there so many brain functions anyway, couldn’t they at least group them together.
Walking to the bus stop he hurried to go back to the dorms, only having one more class later today and he was determined to get a nap in before.
“Good Morning Princess, how was class” ugh, Andrew had been running into this guy for the past few weeks almost everyday, he was not in the mood for his teasing.
“It was fine just took a test and stared out the window” there wasn’t really a point in asking him to stop anymore and to his dismay he was just used to the nickname now.
“Sounds fun, glad my classes don't have any tests cause I barely pay attention” sounds like someone else I know.
“No test, that's completely unfair. I have one for every class this week” he laid his head in his hands and groaned so much for napping he needed to study.
“Don’t worry princess, you're hella smart, no need to overthink anything” Tobi confronted while patting Andrews back.
“Yeah but I can’t memorize everything, there are so many laws, so many brain functions, so many mental illnesses and they expect me to know all of them,” he exclaimed, too tired to care that he was sharing all his problems with this guy he barely knew.
“I get it, I'm not the best at memorizing either. I honestly just cram right before a test but it doesn’t seem like that would help in your case” Tobi was still rubbing his back in a comforting way and it honestly felt kinda of nice.
“I’ve made my own study guides but whenever I asked the professor what I should study on they always just give a vague answer, like, ‘You should know what information is important and what's not’ ” he continued to rant and was honestly starting to feel better talking to Tobi.
“Ah this is my bus as much as I'd love to sit here with you and complain about classes, I have to get to my own one, later princess” he said with a wink as he got up.
Tobi then hopped on the bus and Andrew waved him goodbye.
He isn’t that bad of a guy, he's just always finding ways to tease him and it's tiring. But today Tobi kinda noticed he was stressed and just listened. It felt nice the way he comforted him with just light teasing. He wanted to know more about him actually.
In fact Andrew knows absolutely nothing about the guy other than the fact he works at the coffee shop.
The bus pulls up before he can think any longer. Good because he has a lot of studying to do.
