Eron found a spot at a local inn and decided to write a letter to her brother. She was never close to any of her family members, but she had questions that needed to be answered. A small part of her had also hoped he would consider rescuing when he heard what was going on, though she thought the chances of that were pretty slim. He hated her as much as their mother had, they didn't like the fact that they couldn't control her. She wrote about Reason and his sister along with the questions she had about farther. She mentioned a music box at the end along with their route just in case he had any interest in helping her out of this mess or at least a response to her questions. She sealed it with the ring her father had given her and sent it out hoping that he could rescue her just because they were brother and sister.
Reason had a few more drinks at the bar after Eron had mercilessly rejected him. He couldn't really blame her, he felt like he would hate him if he were her, but that realization just made things harder for him driving the nail in farther. He had barely managed to get himself home after the bar closed. He was too drunk to feel the emotions Eron left him in along with the loss of his family as he entered the corridor. He had a meeting first in the morning with Martin about the crew and he had to spend the next couple weeks finding new people which should serve as a good distraction, but this left them stranded on this island for at least a month. A month he had to come home to an empty house and painful reminders.
Martin sat inside a booth waiting for Reason for over an hour before he decided to head over to his personal home. He could barely get passed the front door as Reason had passed out as soon as he was inside. Half his body blocked the entrance stopping the door from opening up all the way.
"Captain?" Martin bent down and placed the backside of his wrist under his nose. He had no feeling in his fingers from the intense labor at sea. His wrists were full of nerves and hair making them sensitive to air. Relieved when his breath tickled his wrist he got up and filled a pitcher full of water.
Reason woke up in a panic as water splashed over his face. He quickly grabbed at his belt where his sword would be, but Martin had it tucked under his arm. "What do you want." Reason laid back down after seeing Martin.
"We was supposed to meet at sunrise." Martin didn't budge from Reason's glare.
"Shit!" Reason rubbed his head as he felt his hangover in full force. Martin tapped his foot drawing his attention. There had been a small glass of alcohol at his feet. Reason reached for it but got smacked on the back of the hand with his own cutlery.
"What the hell was that for?" He snapped back at Martin. He was still the Captain, and how dare he treat his captain like such.
"No, what the hell is wrong with you?" Martin had never seen Reason act so distraught before, not even when his mother died.
"None of your damn business." Reason snatched up the glass and downed the contents. Whisky burned down his throat as he felt some relief of the hangover. Forcing himself up to his feet Reason stripped naked and headed out back to the little pond he had in his small garden. It was the only part of his land he had paid people to take care of while he was away. The pond was his mother’s pride and joy, she would dote on the little fish. He had never restocked the fish after they had died but he didn't want to see it lay to waste. Martin had followed him adverting his gaze from his bare ass.
Reason had hopped into the pond to clean himself off of the dirt of the past few months. The pond was deep enough to cover half his thighs. Reason looked around and smiled at Martin as his manhood was left in the open. "I remembered this to be a lot deeper."
Martin rolled his eyes. "The last time you was here you was smaller." Martin pointed at the side of the pond where a line was visible, "It's not filled."
"I suppose you are right." Reason looked down at his shriveling manhood and couldn't help feeling bad for it. "Hey Martin, have you ever been rejected?"
"All my life, Cap." Martin felt sadness as he put the pieces together. His irrational behavior and mood swings, now this? That could only mean one thing, Eron.
"I had my first last night. Can't say I enjoyed it." Reason poked between his legs wondering if Eron's rejection of him would make him impotent.
"You'll live." Martin was never good at giving advice. Reason rolled his eyes and tried to sink deeper into the shallow pond.
A loud knock on the door caused both of the men to perk up with interest. "I will get that. You hurry up and clean yourself." Martin rushed to the door fleeing the depressing conversation.
"Eron!" Martin squeezed out the door closing it behind him. "What you do'en here?"
"Where's the ass hole." She tried to get around him to see Reason.
"He is busy and can't be disturbed." Martin quickly stated and put his hinds up to block her.
"Out of my way." Eron gently but firmly pushed him aside and entered his house. Martin had followed closely to her.
"Where is he?" She grabbed him by the front of his shirt.
Tired of being in the middle of their drama he pointed to the garden and took a seat inside waiting for the fighting to start after she left.
"Reason you piece of shit!" Eron stormed out to the garden.
Reason stood up quickly at the noise. He heard the tone first and thought something was wrong. "What is it?"
Eron's eyes went wide as soon as she saw him, forgetting what it was she wanted to tell him.
"Speak woman." Reason said still raw with emotions from last night.
Ignoring the fact that he was naked she shook her head and continued. "You are a real piece of shit, you know that?"
"I do by how many times you have said it, but if you would ever so kindly enlighten me as to what I did this time, I would appreciate it." Reason looked over her, he had noticed her hair had been growing out to her shoulders. She had recently bathed and wore a new pair of clothes since they had arrived, woman's clothes. He thought about untying the corset she has snugged across her waist.
"I was just told we are going to be here for a month?" She had sent out the letter last night and hope faded that she could be rescued from her brother first thing in the morning when she overheard the crew.
Reason watched as her mouth perched in annoyance. "I need a new crew." Her mouth gaped open at him astonished by what he said.
Eron did her best to ignore the changes he flaunted with his body as he stared at her mouth. "We have a crew."
Reason wanted her safe he couldn't trust the men they had now. Eron's face had considerably shrunk but the colors still remained on her skin. He wanted nothing more than to rub them away as if it were smudged dirt. She was so beautiful it pained him that someone marked her up.
"You are a sick bastard." Eron could no longer ignore things as he had prostrated himself to her at his full potential. She made sure he knew that she saw it and scoffed before turning around and leaving.
Reason stood still for a moment then looked down at himself, "mother fucker," and slouched back into the pond feeling the weight of his shame. He hated himself, hell, he hated his erection. Staring at himself he realized how long it has been since anyone had touched him, but he also knew that he could no longer settle for the whores he used to admire. Since he had been left alone, he decided to grab himself with his hand. He thought about the one woman he yearned for until release overflowed him. He could no longer deny his body for what it wanted. Many times, had he pushed dreams aside and thoughts of doing what he had just done while lying next to her, there was no going back now. He loved her and it was out in the open. He didn't regret telling her, but his desire would be harder for him to maintain, and he couldn't push her farther away, she needed her own room.
