It was odd. Awfully and confusingly odd. After I had trampled onto my left toe, that traitorous toe, I had accepted the fate that I would ultimately plummet to my death. But my descent was anything but that. The reality that had once surrounded me had suddenly become quixotic as I felt my descent to become longer than one would anticipate due to the laws of physics; as a rock would be expected to collapse onto the ground if someone were to release it from their grip. But, my collapse was no example that would have benefited the laws of physics.
As my descending form had gradually neared the ocean's surface the whole world had gradually come to a pause, as well as myself, who was now somehow completely suspended above the surface of the ocean. I attempted to move my body, even my tongue, but all that moved were my eyes as they were only able to witness such an abnormality. I was completely suspended within the grasp of the air, above the surface of the water, in which had froze as well, as had the boats quaking, as had Captain Axel Dieters men, even sound had stopped muttering, which left a deafening silence in everything's place.
And then before nothing else could happen, everything came rushing before my eyes which bared witness to the shocking and completely abnormal occurrence. I was suddenly being dragged back onto the surface of the flaky wooden plank, as the crew members were still frozen in the exact position of their once approaching forms as only our eyes were left observing one another as everyone possessed an equally ridiculous expression on their face as the other. And then our muscles relaxed.
After our bodies had relaxed into time, I had then experienced the longest minute of my life, everyone stood as though we were all still held in place by an unknown force, that was, until, Captain Axel Dieter's booming voice came into existence.
"I said! Tie the bugger up!" Captain Axel Dieter shouted at his crew as they wiped the perplexed looks off they're faces and then commenced approaching me once again. Hands grasped at my limbs as I was dragged off the plank, placed against the ships mast and then tangled into a bundle of knots all within the duration of a couple of seconds.
I had finally revived myself from my daze and only then could make sense of what was happening. Captain Axel Dieter stood firmly in front of me with his arms in a knot as his icy stare was pressed on me as well as his crew members who were also staring at me. I felt my skin burn as I felt embarrassed to have been exposed to so many disgusted eyes. I also felt ashamed as I was also under the scrutinizing glare of Captain Axel Dieter's icy emerald stare, his presence towering over me. I decided to place my gaze on the mahogany floor boards of the deck, embarrassed to have made eye contact with any of them.
"Is it a he er she" I heard one say in confusion, mumbles followed the mans statement.
"He." Came Captain Axel Dieter's sharp response shortly after, I slowly raised my eyes from the main decks surface to look toward Captain Axel Dieter, who hadn't seized his penetrating stare. Chatter erupted at the controversial statement that I was a 'he,' a 'he' who was draped in a female night gown, my body went numb as I knew I was truly done for when I saw they're eyes boiling with disgust; they would either erupt with laughter or look at me with dumbfounded expressions if I were to tell them the truth.
"Why is he wearin' women's robes! Why did we let 'im live! Cap'ain shoulda let 'im fall from the plank when the opportunity was 'ere!!" One shouted helplessly, but I let they're comments wash over me knowing that I served my purpose as the princess was safe.
"That bloody Princess, she bloody gave us a tranny instead!"
"Just sell him to the whore house an' get em' to cut off his genitals, he'll still be the real deal! His got a hole doesn't-"
"Shut your gaping holes!" Captain Axel Dieter's voice had shouted aggressively as their words were immediately cut off from the explosion of Captain Axel Dieter's pistol setting fire to the air above. He had then placed the pistol back within its holster as his back then turned itself to face me, finally relieving my form from his scrutinizing gaze to face his crew. "You should be bloody ashamed of your words, comin' from a bunch of mangled beef witted pigs nuts, you all seem to have a bloody opinion when your all just a bunch of pee weeds, now we are going to get our bounty! And this scalawag is going to help us, whether he likes it-" Captain Axel Dieter then looked over his shoulder, with his smoldering emerald gaze piercing into me "or not."
More mumbles of protest erupted amongst Captain Axel Dieter's crew as some people's fingers began to point and gesture toward me with distasteful expressions plastered to they're faces.
Their mumbles began to echo against the rigid walls of the cavern that the ship had slowly begun to creep into. The brightness and the warmth of the sun that had once kissed my skin had slowly begun to fade as the wenches bed ventured further into the cavern, as did the prestigious clear blue sky that dissolved as the wenches bed traveled further and further into the cavern.
The whispers had begun to simmer as Captain Axel Dieter's gaze began to slowly journey back toward his crew who had all audibly gulped once the Captain's eyes had penetrated the crowd of balding middle aged men who had stared back at Captain Axel Dieter with bemused expressions.
"I did not ask for either of your approvals or opinions" Captain Axel Dieter uttered as his eyes then flickered to pierce the burgundy wooden floor of the wenches bed, his jaw firmly locked, as it appeared that he had suddenly become lost in thought. After an extremely intense thirty seconds of complete silence and Captain Axel Dieter's frosted stare penetrating the floor boards, he then snapped his head to face the crew once again and swashed his left arm in the air toward his crew "Why are you all just standing around! Get back to work!" He yelled in frustration.
Everyone hurtled themselves toward anything that had a resemblance to productivity on board the ship as Captain Axel Dieter sneered to himself. He then relieved his features of his contorted expression and then had begun to approach me with his right index finger extended, his eyes wandering around the ship. "You do realize.." His words traveled as well as his eyes that had then reached mine "..That you can't escape, because if you do try, I may just consider trimming your genitals when I find you."
My throat went dry from the horror of what Captain Axel Dieter would not hesitate to do to me, but I found what little pride I had in myself to take a stand against this hooligan and then had fiercely responded with "Not if you can't find me."
I had an insight that much later I would regret my decision to practically answer back to this unruly creature but for this second I felt the adrenaline rush through my veins. Although, I did seem to comprehend why my very being wasn't completely terrified of the infamous Captain, due to the fact that it seemed that the whole world had relapsed just about a second ago, as if it didn't like what it had seen.
Captain Axel Dieter's gaze went fixed as he then began to slowly approach me, I could hear the blood rushing in my ears as I now regretted what I had done. His face was only centimeters from mine, his icy stare penetrating deep into my eyes, after a terrifying second he then broke his intense gaze and swiveled his head to my ear and whispered softly "I always do" he then took a stray strand of my hair between his thumb and index finger and gently moved it out of my face.
I was perplexed by his gesture as I watched him slowly step away to an appropriate distance, but what made me even more confused than his gesture was his weird comment 'I always do,' it seemed rather odd for someone who had kidnapped you accidentally to mention that they always find you, I found it only logical to question whether he was envisioning someone else in his comment, but, then again, maybe through the whole rewind experience just about a second ago could've also rewired his brain.
"Are you thinking of someone else, perhaps, in your statement?" I asked curiously as I gazed at his leaving form, he suddenly stopped as he had then turned around after hearing what I asked and faced me. After an odd thirty seconds of his expressionless face staring back at me, he had then smirked to himself as he let out a breath of amusement and then finally responded to my question.
"If your smart enough, you'll eventually realize what's going on around here." And then, suddenly, any last ray of sunshine had slowly slipped away and had then become completely shunned as the Wenches bed had fully emerged itself into the cavern that it had slowly crept into.
[what did you think of this chapter! I would really love to hear some feedback and opinions on the story so far and how its progressing!]
