Later that evening, Clark, Eryn & Kane all relax in Clark’s room. Kane & Eryn recline on his bed while Clark sits on the floor manipulating the TV. Eryn keeps asking Kane questions about what happened.

“So, walk me through it again.” She stares directly at Kane.

“So when Kane hit me really hard, I went to this place where there was like, nothing. And then these voices asked me what I needed done. I started to mention Riley & then they cut me off & I was stretched out. Then I was in my body. And I launched Riley through the wall. Then there were eyes all over me & I stopped Clark’s nosebleed.”

“Thanks for that babe.”

“No problem. Anyway then you came out & you were like really freaked out. And then I fainted.”

Eryn nods. “Hmm. Okay. Okay.”

“Geez Eryn, chill out. You’ve asked Kane the same thing like seven times. You’re not gonna get anything else from them, so just chill. Just hang out & relax. Let Kane relax. A lot of things have happened to them today. Being honest, we probably should’ve taken them to the hospital. But we didn’t & we’re here, so let’s just relax okay?”

Eryn rolls her eyes & sighs. “You know what, fine Clark. If you genuinely don’t want to know why Kane just sprouted eyes & got telekinesis, that’s fine! Let’s just wait until next time when who knows what happens! Who knows what powers they’ll develop. Fire breathing. Mind wiping. Maybe they’ll just be able to make things they look at explode! We don’t know & I guess there’s no point in finding out! Is there!”

Clark stands up & fully turns to Eryn. “Eryn, I’m not saying you can’t try to figure out what’s happening. I’m just saying, you’ve been doing it for like an hour & you’ve found out nothing. So just relax. Please. I just wanna have a nice night. This can wait until tomorrow.”

Kane tries to mediate. “Clark it’s fi-”

Eryn cuts them off. “We don’t know if we have until tomorrow. None of us know when that thing inside of Kane will come out. Or what it’ll do next. Hell, it might come back now & throw you through the window. We don’t know Clark! So don’t tell me to relax, maybe you should be more worried!” Eryn stomps out of the room.

Clark runs after her. “Eryn, I didn’t me-”

“I don’t care. Leave me alone.”

They both run down the stairs & up to the door. Before Eryn leaves, Clark grabs her shoulder. “Eryn wait, I’m so-”

She swipes his hand away & walks out the door, saying, “What about leave me alone don’t you understand?”

Clark walks forward a little before saying, “Wait, I-”

Eryn flicks Clark off & says, “Shut up!” before walking away.
