Right now its 3:00 am and Izuku Midoriya is laying in his bed staring at the ceiling. If he told his friends he's been awake at night instead of sleeping, they would be worried and understand why during breaks he would sleep. He doesn't want to sleep because he hates the fact that when he closes his eyes the bad dreams, the nightmares that never seem to end could get to him, because once he closes his eyes it doesn't matter that he has a new home, a loving family and that he goes to school with his amazing friends and his crush, it doesn't matter that he's being loved because once the darkness gets him and swallows him whole the pain and guilt is never going away so easily like it did once before. 

It is a Friday night, after the annual class 1-A movie night. Midoriya is pretty sure everyone is passed out as he walks down the halls of the dorms to the kitchen.

"Hey" a voice says catching the green haired by off guard.

"Oh hi Todoroki" Midoriya sighs, "what are you doing up?"

"I could ask you the same thing, but if you really must know I was going to have a midnight snack and watch the little mermaid again" Todoroki rubs the back of his neck awkwardly.

"Again we just watched that for movie night" Midoriya giggles.

"It's a great movie" Todoroki argues.

"It's about a mermaid wanting to be human because she's in love" 

"Well yeah but Ariel doesn't take shit from her dad"

The two boys look at each other and burst out into laughter.

"Shhhh" Midoriya tries to say while giggling.

"Okay that was the most weirdest argument and i'm pretty sure none of us won it" Todoroki chuckles.

"Yeah" Midoriya nods.

"Hey lets go watch it and we can have valid points to argue over" Todoroki takes Midoriya's hand and leads them to the couch.

Aizawa finds them early the next Saturday.

"Problem children" he chuckles lightly then covering the two cuddled boys with a blanket and goes back to the kitchen to make coffee.
