This comic is based on true events that occurred during one of the Latina and Mutt’s Dates. The Latina had been insisting that they do a “paint and sip” session since she knew the Mutt loved art. The Mutt scoffed at this idea and said they could have their own Paint and Sip experience at home, so thats what they did.
They worked with watercolor which the Latina had never worked with before. She was extremely nervous but excited. She picked up the fattest brush , as depicted in the comic and the mutt stopped her and told her to trace what she wanted to paint before putting color on paper.
The Latina reluctantly obeyed. In the process of tracing, she had created the most beautiful painting known to man! (at least in her eyes) it was Talent, Beauty, Charisma! All in tracing. After an hour of carefully adding details to her work she was ready to paint.
Let me stress again, The Latina has never worked with water color. She didn’t want to ruin her art. So she took the smallest brushed, dipped it into color and began to paint. She could not understand why the color was not showing up on the paper and in a split second The Mutt stated ” Here let me help you” And dumped all the paints onto the paper! The Latina gasped in shocked. She noticed that her tracing of her master piece had faded away cuz she sketched it too light! The Mutt laughed at her surprised expression and the Latina couldn’t do anything but laugh it off. She sloppily finished the painting and although it wasn’t nearly as stunning as the original piece but she couldn’t help but find the whole situation pretty funny. Not everything has to be perfect to be considered “Art” And that is what I ( the Latina) personally love about it!
