There it was the question I've been getting asked my entire life. "I don't want to talk about it." I looked back up from my hands to Xavier.

"Ya that's fine. But me and you need to discuss some ground rules." I nodded my head. "OK. Rule one, you can't leave this house without having either, me, Finn, or a guard with you." No freaking way.

"Your making me stay here? Xavier that's not even fair!" I yelled. 

"It's for your own safety against the vampires-"

"Xavier I can protect myself! I'm not a child!" I was getting real fed up with this. First he kidnaps me, then he puts me on house arrest. Whats next? Lock me in a room that I can never leave?

"Colton I know you're not a child and I know you can protect yourself but you never know!" Xavier yelled back at me. I scoffed, grabbed my backpack from the table and walked past him. "Where are you going?" I ignored him and walked out of the room. If he wants to play by his rules, good for him. But theirs no way in hell I am. It may be around 4 in the morning but I am getting out of this house.

I waited till it was around 9 before I escaped. I have ignored Xavier since our fight and its been really hard to convince Milo. Speaking of it, I haven't convinced him yet.

'Ya and you never will Colton. All Xavier wants to do is protect you and here you are being a child about it.'

"Milo I can take care of my self. I don't need a babysitter.' I said back to Milo. "So please will you just help me get out of here, then I'll come back. I promise." 

'Ugh Colton, I'll do it even though I fear you'll get in trouble, like you always do, but when we get back you apologize to Xavier. Do we have a deal?'

I agreed to the deal and Milo me escape prison. Now we were walking on the streets on London. Well after our hour run to the town. Now I've never been to London and I currently didn't have any money so I just walked around town. I walked around for around 30 minutes before I found myself walking into a park. There were actually a lot of people here. Some were sitting, walking there dogs and others were just walking. I sat down on the grass facing the flowers and trees and decided to draw them. I grabbed by sketchbook and pencil and drew. 

"Wow." Came a voice behind me. I turned around and saw a girl looking at my drawing. She met my eyes. "Oh I'm sorry but I just couldn't help but look. My names Kaylie."

"Colton." I had been drawing for a good hour before Kaylie came so my drawing was about halfway done. 

"Oh your from America?" I nodded. "Do you mind if i sit?" She said pointing to the spot next to me. 

"Yeah here." I moved my bag and she sat.

"How long you staying here then?" 

"I'm not sure actually. My friends kidnapped me and now here I am. Sitting in a park drawing the flowers."

"Why don't you spend time with them them?" 

"I got into an argument with one of them and drawing is one of my ways to cool off." I said looking at her. She braided her light brown hair into tow short braids, she had bright blue eyes that matched her blue jacket. And that's when the smell hit me. "What pack are you from?" I asked her.

"I'm from the Silver moon pack. What about you?" I laughed a bit at the question. What pack am I from? The Riverside pack? The Blood Moon pack? or the Moon Shadow pack? "Whats so funny?"

"Honestly I don't know. I mean... I don't know." I put my head into my hands.

"Your not a rouge so your obviously from one."

"Kaylie I know i'm in one. It's just I don't know which one i'm apart of." I sighed and looked at her. 

"Well it can't be that hard. I mean just pick the one your heart wants and whatever pack that is that's the pack you belong in. Now I have to go before my mate gets upset. It was lovely talking with you." Kaylie said as she got up.

"It was nice talking to you to." I gave her a little wave. And now I was alone again. 

'Colton did you hear what she said?' Milo said.

"About what the pack?"

'No you idiot about her mate.' I shook my head. Milo sighed. 'Of course you didn't. She said that she had to leave before her MATE got upset. Her mate Colton.'

"Ok and? I don't understand?"

'I swear to god Colton, you are dumber than a rock. Colton you have been gone for almost two hours, do you know how upset and worried Xavier is going to be?'

"No I don't. And why should I care? I'm doing this to show him that I'm not a baby and can do things on my own. One of those things being protecting myself." I said back to Milo. 

"Fine Colton believe in what you believe but when he sees you and says 'I was worried sick about you' you will be hearing an I told you so.' And with that Milo went to sleep, probably exhausted from trying to talk some sense into me. Another hour later I had finished my drawing. The sun came out a while ago so it wasn't to cold but definitely not warm enough to be wearing shorts. It was almost one when I heard my stomach demand food. And I really did want something to eat but I had no money. And no money equals no food. Sadly. I put my sketch book and pencil back into my bag and decided to walk around. I got up, threw my bag on my shoulder and I was off. Walking down the path that was shadowed by the trees. I was walking when I saw a familiar face. 

"Anna?" The girl turned her head around and smiled.

"Hey Colton." She walked over to me and gave me a hug. 

When she lat go I asked. "What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be in Boston with you Boyfriend?"

"Yes I am but some of my family lives here and they called saying there was a family emergency. And hey what are you doing here alone? What about your boyfriend?" Now it was my turn to laugh.

"Yeah and he isn't my boyfriend, its complected."

"Then why aren't you trying to work it out?"

"We got into a fight early this morning and I left. It's a long story." She nodded.

"Why don't we walk around a bit. I liked talking to you back at the airport and our time was cut short when you not boyfriend came over and carried you out. Why did he carry you anyway?" We stated to walk down the path.

"Before we got there he said to me in he car if I do something stupid he would carry me out. And I guess he doesn't break a promise." We both laughed. "Hows Zacko doing?" I asked after we stopped.

"He's doing good. A little upset I had to leave after a couple hours but I'm going back tomorrow."

"And if you don't mind me asking, what was the family emergency?" She looked down at her feet. "We don't have to talk about it. Sorry I asked."  

"No it's fine." She said quickly. "I just don't want to talk about it." And we talked for more than 3 hours. Now it was four and by now I was dying. My desire to go see Xavier was over whelming. We haven't even mated and now I feel like I could die if I don't see him. 

'Well Colton that is what happens when you meet your mate. But if you don't go to him soon I will take over and go over.' Milo said.

Scared of what Milo could do I said good bye to Anna and made my way back to the pack house. Just to be a brat I decided to walk the entire way there and ignored the threats Milo was saying. Once we go there it was already getting dark. I walked up to the front door and opened them. Inside was going crazy. People running, food being thrown....ohhh food fight. That is a terrible thing to do, waste food. These wolves are evil. 

Every thing stopped when I took a step in. Everyone looked my way then at someone or something I couldn't see. Just then someone was running toward me. I realized it was Xavier but before I could even say a word he lifted me in the air, hands were around my waist and his head was in the crook of my neck. I hugged him back. One hand around his neck and one in his short black hair. Everyone in the room understood and left, leaving all the food to lay on the ground. Xavier moved back and his eyes met mine. His pale blue eyes matching his olive skin tone. 

"Colton don't ever do that again, I was worried s-" I had to stop him. I don't want to hear i told you so from Milo so the best way I could think to shut him up was by connecting my lips to his. It took a second before his soft lips were kissing me back. My heart soared when our lips moved together. I brought my legs up and wrapped them around Xavier. My breath shuddered when I felt Xavier's moved his hands under my shirt. 

"Your back!" Finn suddenly yelled bursting through one of the hallways.

Startled, Xavier dropped my to the floor. I gave Finn a death stare but embarrassment soon caught on and I could feel my cheeks get warm. I saw Xavier still looking at me and gave me a smile showing his white teeth. I covered my burning face with my hands. Xavier grabbed my wrists pulling them away. I gave him a small smile. He let go of my wrists and before I looked over at Finn I saw him wink. I don't know if its possible but I felt my face get even hotter. Fuck this! Why am I getting all red? Oh I know why! My first freaking kiss with him was interrupted my his beta. Yeah defiantly not embarrassing. 

"Xavier stop embarrassing your mate! Your being terribly rude!" Both of us looked at Finn. "Now Colton get over here!" I walked over to Finn and he gave me and tight hug. 

"Finn...Cant...breath." I said between gasps of air. Finn let go then looked me right in the eye.

"Colton do you have any idea how worried Xavier here was? He was so upset that you left and was about to send all the wolves we had to find you!" I looked back over to Xavier and he gave me a small shrug. 

'I TOLD YOU SO!' I jumped a little when I heard Milo scream inside my head.

'oh shut up." I said back. Xavier was giving me a weird look. "It's a long story." At that moment Xavier seemed to remember what happened before because he was storming off. 

"You should go talk to him." Finn said. "He'll be in his office. And that's what I did. I went straight to his office after getting instructions to it from Finn.
