Jimin carefully makes his way to Min Young, crouching down, just like his wife. Min Young is crying uncontrollably, her eyes closed shut. She is too busy crying, not realizing Jimin is next to her.
"Min Young-ah." Jimin softly caresses Min Young's head, and she flinches. Jimin's heart breaks even more. "I scared you, didn't I?" 5 years of knowing Min Young, he never raised his voice. He knows how sensitive Min Young is, and he himself does not like raising his voice.
But he lost control. He got so annoyed, when all Min Young did was being nice to him. To add to that, he forgot their anniversary when Min Young worked so hard to celebrate it though she's technically weak.
"I'm sorry, Min Young-ah." He sits down and pull Min Young to sit on his lap, which his wife obeys. He rubs her back, comforting her. His lips does not stop pecking her head, silently apologizing. He knows words will not make it any better. One thing for sure - it's his fault.
Soon, Min Young becomes a lot calmer. She's no longer crying, but faint hiccups could be heard. Jimin wipes her tears, heart aching seeing Min Young's pale face.
"Let's eat, hmm? I will heat the food up."
Min Young shakes her head. Her appetite is long gone, her heart hurts. She's mad at Jimin, but her arms are unconsciously wrapped around Jimin's waist.
"You need to eat, baby. Only then you can take meds." Jimin tries to reason. Min Young keeps quiet, but Jimin already knows.
He stands up and ask Min Young to wrap her legs around his waist, while her arms circle around his neck. He heats the food up with Min Young latching onto him, but he doesn't mind one bit.
Once he's done, he feeds Min Young, who sits on his lap. But Min Young does not eat much. Not wanting to force Min Young, even though he's worried, Jimin stops feeding her and help her to take the prescribed medications.
Min Young rests her head on Jimin's chest while he eats. She wants to go to the bedroom right now and sleep, but she is too tired to walk. She will just wait until Jimin is done eating and carry her to the bedroom. Slowly, she falls asleep.
"You are tired from crying, aren't you? I'm sorry." Jimin kisses Min Young's forehead. It feels so long since the last time he kisses Min Young. He pecks his wife's head one more time before carrying her. He will do the dishes after putting Min Young to bed.
Min Young is right. There is a dark brown gift box on the bed, a gift for their anniversary. Tears threaten to fall, but Jimin fights back. He slowly lays Min Young on the bed, trying his best not to wake her up and covers her body with blanket.
When he's done, he immediately goes for the gift box, kind of excited. He still feels guilty, but he will make sure to properly apologize tomorrow.
Inside the box is a blue shirt and wrist watch that he has always wanted. When did Min Young buy this? Then it hits him - he neglects Min Young to the extent of not knowing how his wife has been for the past two weeks.
He puts the shirt and watch back into the box and set in on the night stand. He scoots closer and pull Min Young towards him, adjusting her head so it lays on his arm. Tears, drop by drop, start to fall and Jimin does not seem to care.
"I'm sorry, Min Young-ah. I don't know why I act this way." Jimin sighs, not happy with himself. "Sleep well, angel."
When the morning comes, Min Young does not talk at all. Her habit of greeting Jimin every morning is broken that day.
Jimin tried initiating conversation during breakfast, but Min Young does not answer - only nodding or shaking her head.
"Would you like to have pancake?"
Nods.
"Have you taken your meds?"
Nods.
Fortunately, that does not last long.
"Jimin-shi." Auch. Jimin feels a big slap on his face, a direct hit to his heart. Is he not Min Young's Jiminie anymore?
"Yes, baby?" He answers regardless.
"Let's get a divorce."
