(warning: this part is all made up by me and is by no means backed up by any canon stuff. It may stray from the OG logic a bit as I'm going this way with the storyline, but I'm doing my best!)

While the New Crystal Gems are out spreading the word about the Original Crystal Gem's fates, inside the Burning Room, the shards of the fallen OCGS communicated with each other, catching up on what happened on Homeworld. As Steven is dead, his spirit can communicate with them too. Normally, a gem shard would only contain a part of a gem's light form, but because all of the Gems' shards are together in the bubble, they can all communicate together. They all woke up in a pink room, except for Steven, who was hovering in the air beside them, emitting a pinkish glow while still looking perfectly human. Amethyst spoke up first. "Uh, guys, where are we?" Steven answered, "Well, I think we're inside of a bubble." Pearl freaked out immediately, shrieking, "WHATT? WE'RE BUBBLED? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!' and ran around the room screaming. Garnetwas split back into Ruby and Sapphire. Ruby  had a breakdown, whispering, "What will happen to Earth if we're bubbled? Will we ever get out?' Sapphire replied calmly, "Even if we got out, it would be no use.' Ruby asked, "Why? Aren't we supposed to try and do something?" The gem with one eye simply said, "We're all shattered, even if we got out we can't do anything, and we'll simply just separate ourselves again, or worse, lose some shards." Ruby was horrified and what Sapphire had just said. She flew into a fit of rage and confusion, shouting, "OH MY STARS! OH MY, OH MY, OH MY! I WANT TO SHATTER THOSE DAMN DIAMONDS RIGHT HERE AND NOW! AGRHHHHHHHHH!" But Sapphire simply said calmly, "Don't freak out, Ruby, stay calm, I'm sure we'll figure something out." Just then, Pearl came rushing back from her run, yelling, "STEVEN! STEVEN! STEVEN!" Steven, who had been watching Ruby and Sapphire converse, said, "What?" "IF YOUR HERE, THEN..." Pearl covered her mouth, and went on. "Steven, if your human half and gem half are here... Does this mean...oh no... oh nononononono...." A tear ran down Steven's cheek. He sniffed, 'Yes...Pearl, I'm dead. Right after White pulled out my gem and saw that it was not a Diamond, she threw me away and shattered it. I tried to get up, really! But I  was too weak without my gem, and I fainted soon after. I think I died after some time, but I know that the others have bought my body back to Dad on Earth." Steven pulled up his shirt to reveal his gem on his navel. "I think I got my Gem back a little bit after I died. I don't know why, but I got my powers! I have to go to the afterlife every now and then, but I can still visit the others in their dreams and visit you guys here!" The others gasped, and Pearl broke into rivers of tears. Amethyst sobbed on the floor, and Ruby and Sapphire hugged each other, each weeping into the other. As soon as Steven saw them sobbing, he hastily said, "Guys, guys! Don't cry, I'm good! You see, no scratches or cuts or anything! I know that you guys are sad that I can't keep fighting on, but I can at least give you guys comfort and the others support!" Amethyst looked at Steven, her face stained with tears. "Yeah," she sniffed, "At least you can still do that. Just...come back often, will you?" "Of course I will.", Steven replied with a smile. "It's just... I have to go now. Anyone want a hug?" All of the others wiped their tears and exclaimed, "Heck yes we do!" And so, they all came into a big, warm, hug. Steven wiped his tears and said, "See ya guys, I love you." Ruby, Sapphire, Pearl and Amethyst all waved as he disappeared with a pop.
