Wait I just realized something.
The only person who could've seen it disappeared, right? And since the main character guy basically just kinda teleports back in time, I'm guessing he'd just appear back to present time again, meaning he'd disappear. And maybe that's why the lady recognized him, because that dude is the only one who could've seen it.
Unless if that was common knowledge at this point and I'm just an idiot.
