I stare at the roof of my room. My breath comes out evenly, and the house is silent, something that's rare for me. My parents were out, and I was left home alone. I bite down on my lip softly, letting my eyes flutter shut slowly.
CRASH
I jolt up. Shit! How long was i out for? I glance out my window and see that night has already fallen. I slowly creep off my bed and peer into the hallway to see a random guy stumbling around. I pull my head back in, nervously biting at my nails. There was some random guy in my house, could be a murderer, kidnapper or a robber, now what the fuck do I do?! My breathing becomes slower as i try to get some air in my lungs.
"Oh god not now!" I wheeze, a panic attack approaching. I shove my hands over my mouth and bite down, trying to calm myself down.
"Helllooooo?" The random guy sings, the word slurring out. Great, i had a random drunk guy in my house. "I know there's someone hereeee! The door was unlocked!" He slurs, getting closer to my room. I can hear his heavy breathing outside of my door as he heaves himself to me. I'd left the door unlocked when i fell asleep. I hold my breath as i conceal myself behind my open door and the random guy stumbles in. He looks around, his eyes glazed over. He bites down on his lip and I almost gasp. He was fucking hot. The guy puts his hand out and pushes the door back, whacking me in the face unexpectedly.
"Oh Shit Sorry!" He exclaims as I fall over backwards, putting my head in my hands. My head throbs and i feel breath on my face. I go tense, and slowly remove my hands from my face to find the guy staring down at me, extremely close to my face.
"AH WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU!?" I screech, shoving him backwards and kicking out.
"Chill. I'm Blake." He introduces himself, somehow managing to remember his own name. I could smell the alcohol on him.
"What the fuck are you doing in my house?" I question, my voice going high pitched and squeaky as i pull myself up. My muscles are tense, ready to hit him at any moment.
"Uhm, would you believe it if i said I came to see you?" He slurs, smiling blissfully. Blood rushes straight to my cheeks and ears as I divert my gaze.
"No, I wouldn't!" I exclaim, my heart thumping. I hear a car pull up in the driveway and my cheeks go cold. My parents were home. I would be in enough trouble for the broken window, and now i would be in mega trouble for having a boy in my room. My eyes flick around frantically as Blake looks around.
"What was that?" He questions, his voice a little worn out. I look for a way to get him out when i see my window which was still open.
"Get up! Get up!" I exclaim, grabbing him and dragging him over to my window.
"Wha-!" He questions as i shove him out of it, my heart racing as the door clicks open.
"Cadence?" I hear my mother yell into the house.
"Go! Get away from here and never ever fucking come back!" I growl at Blake. He looks dazed and doesn't move, so i bare my teeth at him.
"Leave." I snarl, and this seems to scare him off, because he turns and begins to slowly jog away from my house. I let out a sigh of relief and turn around. My mother is coming down the hall to my room from what i can hear, so I lay down on my bed and pretend I'm sleeping.
"Cadence?" She questions softly, and I slowly open my eyes, blinking a few times.
"Mom?" I question, my voice croaky.
"What happened to the window?" She asks as I sit up and rub my eyes, yawning.
"Window? What about it?" I catechize. She smiles at me calmly.
"It's broken. Don't worry about it Hun. Just go back to sleep." And without saying anything else she turns and leaves my room, shutting my door quietly behind her. I huff and slam my head into my pillow, listening to my parents chattering outside.
"What the fuck?" I groan into my pillow.
You ever had a first day at school? Of course you have. Everyone has. Does anyone want to know how my first day went? Well, to sum it up, it went to shit the moment i stepped in the principals office. My parents and I arrived at the school a little bit early. I was nervous, this was my first All-Boys private school, and when my parents had told me we had dorms (they'd been super pissed off by the way) my heart had stopped. I was nervous, and not exactly excited. Private schools had rules, and I did not like rules very much. But still, we arrived at the school a little early, and we had to figure out where the principals office was. It took a little while, but we managed to find it, and then we were instructed to sit down, and he would be with us in a moment. He was just speaking to my dormmate. I felt a panic attack coming as we sat down in the comfy chairs they had. My mother looked to me and gave a sad look patting me on the back.
"Shh, it's alright. Breath Cadence." She told me, while rubbing her hand up and down my back comfortingly. As I began to catch my breath again, a man, who I'd assumed was the principal, came out and beckoned us to come into his office. My mother had smiled at me softly before we'd gotten up and walked into the office. Now, as I said, this was the moment my first day turned to shit. Guess who I saw, sitting in one of the comfy chairs, looking pissed as hell with a massive hangover?
Blake. The same Blake who broke into my house last night.
