In the video game section of Toy Land, Jil and Wayne are stationed there today. Wayne is waiting for customers to come up to check out while Jil is stocking the shelves.
As Jil is stocking the empty shelves a little girl comes walking up to her and taps her back. "Excuse me." Jil turns around to face the kid. She smiles and bends over with her hands on her knees.
"How can I help you?"
The little girl whips out the game she's holding by her side to show Jil. It’s an action-based game for 17 and up. There is a girl in a bikini holding an AK47 with a cigarette in her mouth in high heels with a red car behind her. Jil wonders if a toy store should really be stocking games like this, or at least she's thinking of putting it out of reach for kids.
"My mommy said I can't have this game because it's for people who want to end up like my cousin Ronald." The kid flips the game around and stares at the box details. "But when mommy’s gone and Daddy invites his friend Amanda over to help watch me, I play the demo when Daddy takes Amanda up to mommy and his room to play."
Jill’s smile eventually becomes an uncomfortable shocked face listening as this girl talks.
"So, I was wondering if you could talk to my mommy and explain to her this game isn’t so bad, so I can get it." The little girl gets a big smile on her face.
I don't get paid enough for this, is what Jil was thinking as she tries to find a way to escape this situation.
Over at the checkout counters is stationed Mason and Jaxon.
"I'm open in lane 4! Come over here if you want to have the time of your life checking out." Jaxon shouts to the people approaching checkout.
Oh god, Mason thought as he rolled his eyes. He watched as a bunch of middle-aged women and grandmas rush to Jaxon's line eagerly. A grandma at the front of the line moves forward for checkout and says "Do you think my granddaughter will like this toy?"
She then leans in closer and asks, "How much fun are we talking?"
Jaxon's eyes open wide and smiles uncomfortably. Mason chuckles to himself at Jaxon's karma. Mason tends to two very beautiful young adult women who walked up to his counter since he didn't have a queue.
Jaxon quickly recovers and turns back on his charm and sales skills. Addressing the older women and grandmas in his line, "Are you sure you beautiful ladies don’t want one of our 50% off stuffed animals?". Mason's face washes with disbelief and all of the women smile and giggles at Jaxon.
Over to the girl and boy toy section of the store. Cheri and Omar are talking with the night time store manager, Brittney, about how she wants to work on switching up the isles in a more organized way for the kids. As well as which toys to set out for kids to try and test in the little play area of the store.
Brittney points around from the shelves to the play area explaining, "Okay…so I think we should have some of the new toys out for the kids to play with. Parents will get a chance to see their kids play with them. It will definitely increase sales opportunities!"
She pauses for a moment and then starts to head to the back of the store. "Hey, I’m going to the back for a sec. I want to get the layout on paper for these isles. I’ll be right back."
Brittney leaves Omar and Cheri in the middle of the aisle where the little play area is at.
Omar picks up an old fashion paddle ball toy and masterfully plays with it without missing a beat. Then he looks to Cheri, "This sounds like a lot to do."
"Haha... yeah but it’s nice to see change." She says this happily and slightly relieved looking around questioning how long the layout has been this way.
Omar looks at Cheri and smiles. "Yeah, you’re right."
Cheri looks back at Omar smiles back at him.
"Gotta find the good in a situation."
"That’s why I like you, Cheri… always finding the good."
Cheri’s face goes shocked and wide-eyed at Omar. Before Cheri can say anything, an angry male customer comes up behind Cheri and starts yelling.
"I THOUGHT YOU SAID THERE WERE NO MORE OF THE SUPERHERO ACTION FIGURES!!!!"
Cheri gets a worried look on her face. Although, before the man got to close, Omar walked and stood next to Cheri seemingly obstructing the man's path to her that he had seemed to be walking.
"If you have a concern with the boy section you can talk to me, Sir."
Omar has this serious look on his face.
